Sun and Moon Rotating Technique© The Sun and Moon Rotating Technique will massage the heart and lungs. This exercise increases the elasticity of the heart muscles and arteries and improves circulation. It helps treat lung disharmony and disease by purging Toxic Qi form the tissues of the lungs. It causes the upper half of the body to become lighter while making the lower half more solid. Through the harmony on these dual powers, the body’s Yuan Qi (Original Energy) is born. 1. Begin in a comfortable standing posture with both feet facing forward and about shoulder width apart. Both hands are at the sides of the body. The spine is kept straight, with the body relaxed and centered. Stand with the eyes focused on the horizon. Pull the Qi from the horizon into the eyes and down to the lower dantian, filling the entire body. Hold this posture for one to three minutes 2. Start by vigorously shaking the hands and then rubbing the palms together. 3. Place both hands on the chest, and draw the heat from the center of the palms into the chest, inhaling three times. Once the chest has absorbed some heat, both palms begin to rotate up the center line of the chest. The rotation of the arms forms two circles, which circulate the energy from the inside to the outside of the breast. The breath will be a natural respiration. The focus of the intention releasing heat and turbid energy from the lungs and heart. Repeat this exercise 18-36 times. 4. Next, rotate the circles in the opposite direction, moving from the outside towards the center line of the chest and then down, circulating the energy from the outside to the inside of the breast. The breath will be a natural respiration. The focus of the intention on pulling in a healing light energy into the lungs and heart. Repeat this exercise 18-36 times. 5. When the rotations are completed, the middle fingers of both hands slightly press the Conception Channel (the center line of the body) downward to descend the energy into the Lower Dantian (lower abdominal region).
