Summit on the Global Agenda 2015 Overview Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates 25-27 October Programme Highlights This meeting will be designed to enhance your shared and individual learning using the latest digital technology combined with exploratory, interactive and collaborative formats, such as: Addressing Global Challenges: Councils will apply their work to the main global challenge areas in which the World Economic Forum facilitates institutionalized public-private collaboration and thus contribute to an efficient global response to these challenges. Transformation Maps: To facilitate cross-council collaboration and provide new perspectives on global trends, councils will draw on the Forum’s knowledge platform, which captures the collective intelligence of its global networks and provides insight into global, regional and industry transformations. The Summit on the Global Agenda, established as a unique partnership between the World Economic Forum and the United Arab Emirates since 2008, is the annual gathering of the Network of Global Agenda Councils. It brings together over 1,000 thought leaders and influencers to assess critical global, regional and industry challenges. In light of the World Economic Forum’s new status as an international institution for public-private cooperation, the Summit will serve as a global brainstorming for innovative ideas to unlock some of the world’s most protracted global challenges. It also marks the second meeting in the two-year term of Global Agenda Councils, providing an opportunity to showcase and contextualise the councils’ achievements since the beginning of the term. FAQsWhere will the summit take place?The Summit on the Global Agenda 2015 will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Where will I stay?The World Economic Forum has made block reservations in several hotels in Abu Dhabi. PublicisLive, the Forum’s logistics operator, handles accommodation and will contact you as of 1 June 2015, provided you are registered for the Summit.

What is the working language of the summit?Sessions will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation in Arabic for plenary sessions.

When do I need to register?The deadline to submit your registration is 24 August 2015. Participation is by invitation-only and reserved exclusively for members of the Network of Global Agenda Councils. Due to the limited capacity of the conference venue, registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Do I need a visa?Please contact the nearest United Arab Emirates embassy or consulate for visa requirements. The World Economic Forum is not responsible for providing visas; it works closely with the Government of the United Arab Emirates to facilitate the visa application procedure. Further details regarding the free visa application process for participants travelling on a regular passport will be provided in the confirmation letter that you will receive on registration.
