AMERICAN GIRL DOLL CAMP Contact Darnella Thomas for more information at 410-549-8855 or [email protected] children ages 5-12. At American Girl Doll Camp, we explore the lives of all of the Historical American Girl Dolls from 1700s to the 1970s. The girls enjoy a snack, craft, and games related to the specific time period we are exploring each day. Mid week, there is a tea party and dress up day and photos are taken of girls and their dolls in their party dresses, which they really enjoy. The final day is based on Molly, ending in either a Victory party to celebrate the end of the World War II with patriotic skits, hand-made star crowns or we do a Hawaiian Luau. I have recently added Julie, the 70s doll and Rebecca of the early 1900s. This year, I will also include the new Historical doll from New Orleans, Cecile of 1850. The weekly schedule will be as follows: Monday: Kaya, Felicity, and Josephina Tuesday: Addy, Kirsten and Cecile (new doll) Wednesday: Samantha and Rebecca Thursday: Kit and Friday: Molly and Julie. Note: most of the snacks and crafts are hand-made/home made to be more authentic so the girls can get a feel of what it was like to be a young girl living in the 1700s to the 1970s.
