� Session One of Summer Camp is in full swing at DancerDancerDancerDancer’’’’ssss GalleryGalleryGalleryGallery located inCooper City bordering the Town of Davie in Broward County.

� Campers are three weeks into preparing for their end of sessionperformance.

� Many campers are returning students, but there are also many new to thestudio and new to dance.

� The Performing Arts Summer Camp offers so much variety, that everydancer can find a favorite art form.

� Dancer’s Gallery not only offers dance during summer camp, but alsocircuscircuscircuscircus artsartsartsarts and actingactingactingacting alongalongalongalongwithwithwithwith artsartsartsarts andandandand crafts.crafts.crafts.crafts.

� Jazz,Jazz,Jazz,Jazz, HipHipHipHip Hop,Hop,Hop,Hop, Tap,Tap,Tap,Tap, BellyBellyBellyBelly Dance,Dance,Dance,Dance, ContemporaryContemporaryContemporaryContemporary and AerialAerialAerialAerial SilksSilksSilksSilks are alloffered each week.

� Field trips are taken twice per session. One of each field trip is art &craft related.

���� The first field trip in session 1 took the kids outside of the Cooper Cityand Davie area for theWayneWayneWayneWayneWhiteWhiteWhiteWhite ArtArtArtArt ExhibitExhibitExhibitExhibit at the ArtArtArtArt andandandand CultureCultureCultureCultureCenterCenterCenterCenter ofofofof Hollywood.Hollywood.Hollywood.Hollywood.

� Campers were able to learn more about this puppetry and visual artistand also create their own works of art.

� Dancer’s Gallery specializes in dance and performing arts, but finds itimportant to expose campers to all types of art, including visual.

� The second field trip for session 1 will be to the ParadiseParadiseParadiseParadise CoveCoveCoveCove WaterWaterWaterWaterParkParkParkPark atatatat CBCBCBCB SmithSmithSmithSmith ParkParkParkPark inininin PembrokePembrokePembrokePembroke PinesPinesPinesPines so they can enjoy some funin the sun before the long weekend.

� As campers prepare for their upcoming performance in front offriends and family, they are making new friends that could very welllast a lifetime.

� They are also finding new hobbieshobbieshobbieshobbies and interestsinterestsinterestsinterests while exploring theperforming arts.

� When the summer ends, campers will make a smooth transition into theirnew dance classes for the fall.

� The Summer Intensive is completing their first week and it has definitelybeen intense, but so rewarding for the dancers.

���� This intermediate to advanced program is a full-time schedule with aconcentrationconcentrationconcentrationconcentration inininin balletballetballetballet, contemporarycontemporarycontemporarycontemporary and allallallall aroundaroundaroundaround technique.technique.technique.technique.

� Students are scheduled Monday-FridayMonday-FridayMonday-FridayMonday-Friday from 10:0010:0010:0010:00 a.m.a.m.a.m.a.m. –––– 6:006:006:006:00 p.m.p.m.p.m.p.m. andthere is not another program like it in the Cooper City and Davie areas forstudents that are serious about dance and a potential career in theperforming arts.

� A Hip Hop Intensive hosted by HeatherHeatherHeatherHeather VonzettaVonzettaVonzettaVonzetta and KerineKerineKerineKerine JeanJeanJeanJean PierrePierrePierrePierrewith guest teachers throughout, will begin the week of July 6th runningfor 5 weeks.

� This program will provide a nice variety of styles often identified as hiphop style, but can include urban funk, break dance, animation and more.
