Check your e-mail through delaGATe to review your tuition bill, see your schedule, make payments and sign up for the payment plan.

To maximize financial aid eligibility for both

Summer I and Summer II courses, a student should

submit a 2013-2014 “Free Application for Federal

Student Aid” and all required documentation

before April 1, 2014. Students who do not submit

everything by April 1 will be responsible for

paying their tuition, fees, and books up front and

be reimbursed later if eligible for aid.

the time payment is due, you must make payment.

Should you receive financial aid, your account

will be adjusted accordingly as soon as possible.

Late applicants may and should still apply for

financial aid by completing the Free Application

for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but should not

expect to receive an award if eligible until after

classes are underway, and are advised to get on

the payment plan to hold their classes.

Eligibility for Summer sessions will depend on

amount of 2012/2013 Federal Student Aid used

toward Fall 2012 and Spring 2013, regardless

of whether you attended Delaware County

Community College or elsewhere.

File your 2014-2015 FAFSA before may 1, 2014 for the 2014-2015 academic year, which begins fall of 2014.

Payment

PAYmENT ONLINERegistered students can make payment through delaGATE, the College’s portal, accessible from the link at the top of the home page, www.dccc.edu. Log-in instructions are provided. The College accepts American Express, VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card and electronic checks. Signing up for a payment plan can also be done online.

PAYmENT IN-PErSONPayment can also be made in person at Marple and Downingtown Campuses and at Exton and Southeast Centers. The College accepts American Express, VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, cash, money orders and personal checks for payment of tuition and fees.

Payment Deadlines

SummEr IStudents who register from March 24 through May 12 must make payment by Wednesday, May 14, to retain their classes. From May 13 until the end of the registration period, students must make payment within 48 hours of the date they register.

SummEr I PAYmENT PLAN (CrEDIT COurSES ONLY)Register before May 22, pay 50% of total due and one-time $30 fee. Balance is due June 4. The payment plan option is available only through May 22.

The Instructional Support Fee supports College-wide technology as well as specialized lab/clinical supplies, dedicated spaces and staffing. There are three fee levels depending on individual course requirements. Courses are marked in the schedule as follows:

Online and Hybrid (Classroom/Internet)

The College offers 95+ online and hybrid courses within a variety of subjects and disciplines. Students have access to their class work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Even though most Internet/Online learning courses do not require regular attendance, you may be expected to attend an orientation meeting and take exams in person. Check with the Online/ Internet Learning department about your class requirements.

About one week before the semester begins, you will receive a welcome letter, explaining how to get started. The welcome letter will also be available on delaGATE through the Academic Resources tab. Hybrid courses require class attendance and online work.

IDs for StudentsCollege IDs are obtained in the Campus Life Office at the Marple Campus, or at off-campus Learning Resource Centers. Hours of operation can be found in delaGATE under the Student Services tab. To have an ID taken students must present a current picture ID. Returning students must validate their ID each semester. IDs are used for borrowing materials from the Learning Commons as well as for taking tests in Test Centers and Bookstore buy backs.

Sponsoring School DistrictsThe following school districts sponsor the College: Chester–upland, Garnet Valley (Bethel residents only), Haverford, Interboro, Radnor, Ridley, Rose Tree Media, Southeast Delco, Springfield, upper Darby, Wallingford-Swarthmore (Swarthmore and Rutledge residents only) and William Penn.
