> Sullivan Fortner, p / Ameen Saleem, b / Jeremy Clemons, dr Sullivan Fortner wurde in New Orleans geboren und begann bereits mit sieben Jahren zu musizieren. Für sein junges Alter hat Sullivan bereits enorme Erfah-rung auf den Jazz-Bühnen gesammelt – und dies mit stetig und stark wachsen-der Beachtung! Er spielte bereits mit Musikern wie der Marsalis-Familie, Donald Harrison, Nicholas Payton, Billy Hart, Gary Bartz, Stefon Harris, Christian Scott, Roy Hargrove, Irvin Mayfield und zahlreichen anderen! Sullivan Fortner, a native New Orleanian, began playing music at the age of seven. He has already made a significant foray into the jazz world that belies his young age. He has studied and performed with many great musicians, including The Marsalis Family, Donald Harrison, Nicholas Payton, Billy Hart, Gary Bartz, Stefon Harris, Christian Scott, Roy Hargrove, Irvin Mayfield, and a host of others.

Er spielt swingenden straight-ahead Jazz. 2002 erschien sein Debut-Album «Manhattan Dream» mit Mulgrew Miller, Chip Jackson und Joe Farnsworth. In den folgenden Jahren folgten zahlreiche weitere Alben und Konzerte. 2016 veröf-fentlichte Dominick sein erstes Album für Mack Avenue Records, «Short Stories». Diese Woche kehrt Dominick mit seinem eigenen Quartett ins Marians zurück! Ohio-born trumpeter Dominick Farinacci is a technically gifted and lyrical artist with a bent for swinging, straight-ahead jazz. In 2002, he released his debut album „Manhattan Dream”, featuring Mulgrew Miller, Chip Jackson, and Joe Farnsworth. Several more albums followed. In 2016, Farinacci released his first album for Mack Ave- nue, “Short Stories“. This week, Dominick returns to Marians with his own quartet!

Al Copley gründete mit 16 Jahren «Roomful Of Blues». 1984 zog er nach Europa und begann 1985 seine Solokarriere. Im gleichen Jahr begleitete er die Stars of Faith am Montreux Jazz Festival. Al spielt Boogie Woogie, Blues und Jazz, hat eine starke Bühnenpräsenz und ist ein ausgezeichneter Entertainer. Er wird auch dieses Jahr wieder seine Zuhörer in gewohnt fetziger Manier in das neue Jahr hin ein begleiten! Ein separates Festtagsprogramm ist erhältlich! Al Copley was only 16 years of age when he founded „Roomful Of Blues”. He moved to Europe in 1984 and started a solo career in 1985. In the same year he played at the Montreux Jazz Festival with the Stars of Faith. Al plays Boogie Woogie, Blues and Jazz, has a strong stage presence and is a very good entertainer. He will again accompany his audience into the new year! A detailed program for the festive days is available!

Howard Alden is one of the most swinging guitarists of his generation. He played with Benny Carter, Flip Phillips, Bud Freeman, Clark Terry, Dizzy Gillespie, Scott Hamilton, Ken Peplow-ski and many others. The Chicago-based guitarist Andy Brown has performed with Harry Allen, Warren Vaché, Anat Cohen and many more. In 2013, Howard and Andy released a CD entitled „Heavy Artillery“ which received four stars in Downbeat magazine!
