Believe in Angels Week February 8-11, 2016 PRAYER # 1 God’s Banquet is for All God of all creation, we give you thanks for the seeds that you sow in our lives, the seeds of faith, hope and love. Help us to nurture these seeds in all your people, that together we may produce a bountiful harvest and in unity enjoy the feast we are all given in your grace. In the name of Him who showed us that the banquet is for all, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. SUGGESTED MORNING ANNOUNCEMENT Good morning! The TCDSB has proclaimed February 8-11 as The Angel Foundation for Learning – Believe in Angels Week. The Angel Foundation for Learning is an official charity of the TCDSB that works to support all students. They distribute over $3.5 million to the Student Nutrition Programs throughout the TCDSB. Each day, over 45,000 elementary and secondary students rely on the Student Nutrition Programs to receive a healthy morning meal, lunch or snack. To support the work of The Angel Foundation for Learning, we will be participating in Civvies Day this Wednesday, February 10th. Please bring in a toonie and help transform a student’s life. Visit www.angelfoundationforlearning.org for more information. PRAYER # 2 Guardian Angel Prayer for Friends Guardian Angel, watch over those whose names you can read in my heart. Guard over them with every care and make their way easy and their labours fruitful. Dry their tears if they weep; sanctify their joys; raise their courage if they weaken; restore their hope if they lose heart, their health if they be ill, truth if they err, repentance if they fail. The Angel Foundation for Learning distributes over $140,000 through their Guardian Angel Funds to support TCDSB students with essen- tial needs, such as food, warm clothing, medical needs, eyeglasses, and many other life necessities. Tomorrow is Civvies Day! When teachers, students, principals and parents join together, anything is possible. Together, we can shape how future generations learn to care and stand up for each other. It’s about students helping students to ensure that no one is left behind. Don’t forget your toonie donation to help support the great work of The Angel Foundation for Learning and to help support your fellow TCDSB students. God of Light and Truth,thank you for giving me a mind that can know and a heart that can love. Help me to keep learning every day of my life, for all knowledge leads to you.Let me be aware of your presence in all things and at all times. Encourage me when work is difficult and when I am tempted to give up;encourage me when my brain seems slow and the way forward is difficult. Grant me the grace to put my mind to use exploring the world you have created, confident that in you there is a wisdom that is real.
