The Whole Story

Up in the airUp until August 2013, Aizlewood’s Mill was using a voice hosted telephony solution, for 5 years the telephony service was based off site. In theory, it was a great way of using a telephone system however in practice, it was a nightmare. The serious lack of reliability was proving a massive problem. Not a month would go by without the microwave connection failing losing the data network and the phones dropping out. Something had to be done to address the issue.

Their Story

Built on solid foundationsAizlewood's Mill is a prestigious six-storey 19th century Flour Mill restored and refurbished into a fully managed business centre, conveniently located within the city centre of Sheffield. The excellent design of the building - which includes full disabled access – enabled them to win a Design of the Year Award in 1991.

They offer a wide range of services to suit businesses of all sizes, from starting a business that requires our virtual services to established companies that are looking to move into one of the serviced offices ranging from 161 sq ft -2238 sq ft.

Their SolutionSolCom was introduced in August 2013 after initially being developed for the fast moving and heavily call dependent taxi industry. SolCom is reliable; over 90% of system faults that do occur are identified and fixed before Aizlewood’s Mill know they exist. The reliability has been a breath of fresh air for Catherine and her team. Gone are the days when she would have to check constantly that the phones were still working!

The GUI (Graphical User Interface) allows an easy & straight forward approach to a number of formerly difficult issues. For example setting up hunt groups within the GUI is a simple process. Should there be any need to review a call; SolCom will have it ready as soon as the call is complete – all via the GUI.

If the worst happens and a component of the SolCom system breaks – SolCare+ is in place to react & fix the issue within 4 hours but with resilience and dual clusters built into the platform the calls are not lost!
