Board meetings are held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Unless otherwise posted, meetings are held at the school district administration center, 1601 East Chestnut Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92701, Board Room. Meetings are also broadcast live on Time Warner Cable, Channel 31, and repeated the following Saturday at 3 p.m. and Tuesday at 6 p.m.
SAUSD TodayFounded in 1888, SAUSD is the 7th largest school district in California, and the largest in Orange County. SAUSD educates approximately 56,000 students at 62 dynamic school sites throughout the eclectic and vibrant Santa Ana community. The K-12 school district is the second largest employer in Santa Ana, with approximately 4,500 educators and staff members.
Approximately 60% of SAUSD students are English learners. Spanish, Vietnamese and Khmer are the most common languages spoken at home. Approximately 91% of the student population is eligible for free and reduced-price meals.

All SAUSD students can eat nutritious breakfast and lunch at no cost
In 2015, over 17, 500 K-12 students participated in summer extended learning including enrichment, bridge pro-
grams, Algebra Readiness Boot Camps, and AP Boot Camps
