Accu C are is on the Way!AODS has contracted with Orion Healthcare Technology to help us upgrade the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) and the ASAM Assessment. The new web based system will support all SUD treatment providers utilize technology to increase efficiency and workf low. Training and implementation are underway through January 2019.
American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) E-Modules AODS has purchased three ASAM E-Modules through The Change Companies, to support DMC-ODS required training for Substance Use Disorder treatment providers. There are three e-modules, “Introduction to the ASAM Criteria”, “Multidimensional Assessment” and “From Assessment to Service Planning”. Under the Drug Medi-Cal Waiver, staff who are providing direct clinical services to beneficiaries must be ASAM trained prior to providing services. DMC-ODS Network Adequacy Certification Tool (NACT)
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has informed AODS that the submission of the NACT is due to the state no later than April 1, 2019. Upon submission, the state will review, validate and certify the provide network of each DMC-ODS county. This requirement ensures that each plan provides adequate access to required services and that time and distance, and timely access requirements are met. For the purpose of network adequacy all DMC-ODS network providers must demonstrate compliance with Provider Data, Legal Entity Level Information is regularly updated. Please make sure that all staff certification requirements are up to date as we will be contacting you at the beginning of February.
