>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Daniel’s story in the Philippines<<<<-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->>>Heb 2: records 7 points of Meekness not Weakness.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Meekness: getting off your high horse while subjecting yourself to God’s level playing field vs. 6, 7. God needs servants not superstars:

Luke 22:25, 26 say, “And he said unto them, the kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.” [26] But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------! Meekness>have compassion. It’s not to exhibit fashion! Meekness is to carry your cross> It’s not wearing a crucifix! Meekness is to live a holy life. It’s not to be hyped up! Meekness is to serve others. It’s not waiting for others to serve you! Meekness is thanking God for the troubles you have...? Why? Vs.9…for the suffering of death crowned him with glory & honour…-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2. Meekness is painfulness: crucifying “King Self” Vs.10…A-Cross-Kind-Of-Death was not fitting for him…

But accepted to be crucified anyhowBut he subjected himself to be made lower than the angels anyhow

Yet he did not mind it anyhowYet he gave up what he had to gain and held unto what he had to lose -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------John 13:16 says, Verily, verily, I say unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord. While in vs.10 Heb 2: reads, “For it was fitting for him in bringing many sons to glory, to make him the captain of their salvation perfect through suffering. >>Bible tells of: Rivers/Giants/Mountains/fire/Life/Cross/Saviour>emulate -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------3. ? If that’s the case, why does the majority gravitate to worldly things than they would to heavenly things? John 16:33….In the world...tribulation:

Israelites went through the red sea // Christians>through trials John the Baptist //Jesus died a cross-kind-of death All of Christ disciples took up their Cross

Story: Farmer and his slave>Fred & Wish-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------When you read Psalms chapters 73-75: it makes you wonder…worth it?

Why? Wicked>prospering Christians>suffering1st you must get off your high horse2nd instead of being a superstar, you must now become a servant3rd instead of happiness>> pain and suffering

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------4th Meekness: receiving no future promotions higher than being God’s servants, not ever! Vs.10 “Captain” Greek word: leader>originator Jesus become your leader through suffering... Revelation 4:10 says, “Twenty four elders fall down before him who sat on the throne and worship & cast their crowns before the throne” [when you wear a crown: King>A King in waiting>Prince]

! When you come to know Christ, 2 things are evident: Worship=Worthy Joy=Jesus Others Yourself

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Paul’s description in 2 Corinthians 4: 8-11[We are] troubled on every side, perplexed, Persecuted, cast down...For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------5. Meekness destroys the devil’s plans: vs.14…then the opposite of this statement is also true! “Your weakness keeps the devil’s plans alive!”

Still in vs.14, “he himself likewise shared in the same… A Cross-Kind-Of-Death” that through death he might destroy the devil.

Are you having a hard time turning your troubles into triumphs? Are you tipping God where you should be tithing him? Or, are you desirous of suffering as Jesus suffered?

Job 1: 6 says, “Satan walks in alongside you.”---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------6. Meekness: turns hurdles into hope for others and yourself vs.18.2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Acts 13: >Paul turns Meekness from Obstacles into opportunities

Are you spiritually worn out? Are you always failing the first grade? Are you in contempt of God’s law and are refusing to obey him? Are you struggling with your Delilah? Does your life have any zip? Are you just going through the motions? Are you professing rather than possessing Christ? Are your accomplishments greater than your Achilles hill?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In vs.15, Jesus wants you to release those fears, how? Vs.17 says that the [merciful and faithful High Priest] wants to make propitiations for the sins of the people. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------7. Meekness: Forgiving and forgetting present/past sins: Matt. 6:14, 15, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you”: [15] “But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”Heb 2Vs.17“propitiations”>Making wrong right! To gain/regain favour--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
