"My academic experience at John Cabot University gave me the opportunity to become a well-rounded professional with an interdisciplinary approach and multilingual skills. I graduated in 2013 with a major in Art History and a minor in Communications. When I was a student at JCU, I applied for three different internship experiences, which helped me investigate my professional goals and attitude. Right after graduation, I had the opportunity to work for the university's Career Services and Continuing Education Center along with colleagues and professors such as Antonella Salvatore, who taught me how to apply an entrepreneurial approach to any job or task. During this five-year-long experience, I obtained the postgraduate diploma in Marketing and Digital Strategies. Following, I decided to undertake a freelance career in social media management and started off with a limited but solid customer portfolio, which I had the chance to expand thanks to the collaboration with social media agencies in Rome. Finally, I founded Social Media Fun Agency with the contribution of JCU Alumnae Flavia Antonelli and Domiziana Mazzoni.” Maria Plateo Summer 2020 JCU Center for Career Services
