MAC1 are pleased to introduce the Roma Mitchell Secondary College portal. This has been established to provide parents from your school community with an easy way to browse and purchase Apple laptops and iPads for their student to use as part of the college’s BYOD program. As an added bonus the portal provides access to special education pricing.

When visiting the portal you will find the Apple devices approved for student use by the college. There is also information about finance options, extended product warranties and insurance protection for tablets and laptops. Plus, a range of useful accessories to compliment your Apple MacBook or iPad are also available for purchase.

Do you need finance?MAC1, in partnership with Roma Mitchell Secondary College, is able to offer parents access to Flexirent finance so your student can enjoy the latest technology on a budget you can afford.

Renting can be a great option if your child needs a laptop or tablet for study purposes. You get to choose the most suitable device from your school’s approved list, plus you can bundle other related items that you or your child needs.

FAQsListed below are some answers to frequently asked questions about the Flexirent finance option. These are general in nature and we advise parents to read the Terms and Conditions of any finance agreement carefully before deciding if it is right for them.

Is this a loan?

No, this is a rental agreement. You pay to rent the computer equipment for your child.

How can I apply?

Simply select Finance as your method of payment on the MAC1 – Roma Mitchell Secondary College portal and you will be contacted by a MAC1 team member to start your finance application with Flexirent. Applicants will typically know the same business day if their application has been accepted.

What am I paying monthly?

Flexirent offer range of flexible terms to suit your needs. They will work out your monthly payment based on the term you choose.

Can I pick up the equipment from school and complete my application later?

No. If you choose the Finance option your application for Flexirent finance must be approved and finalised first.

Is the equipment covered by insurance?

No. However, under the “FlexiCare” Program, the goods are covered in the event of theft or accidental loss or accidental damage – conditions apply.~

Includes theft and loss from: • An unlocked classroom or school building during

normal school hours or an organised school event • Loss in transit during travel to or from school

What happens at the end of the term?

At the end of your term, you can simply return the goods or make an offer to purchase the goods.# If you choose to upgrade to new goods of any value, discounts may be applied on your offer to purchase or return.
