Livingwith fellowstudents fromdiverseand internationalbackgrounds

to have a Code of Behaviour that enables every individual to live asatisfying lifestyle, tobeproductive, andultimately to succeed in theirstudies. The following five principles form a code of behavior thatreflects the needs of the majority, and by which all our students areencouragedtoleadtheirliveshereatschool:
Self - responsibility:Set yourself thehighest possible standardsandmaintain them under all circumstances. Present yourself each day as
the professional person you aspire to be.Attend every class

Take pride in creating an atmosphere where all students cangrow and succeed. There can be few thingsworse than lowering thequalityoflifeofafellowstudent.
Respectthesurroundings:Leavefacilitiesasyouwouldexpecttofind

DisciplinaryBoardsProcedure
Expulsion can only be considered and decided at a full DisciplinaryBoard.Amemberof theschool’smanagementmust chair disciplinaryBoards.Inthecaseswherestudentshavecontravenedacademicrules,as a minimum the Academic Director / Dean or Assistant AcademicDean and the appropriate Programme Manager should attend theBoard. In cases where students have contravened non-academicmatters,asaminimumtheOperationsDirector,OperationsManagerorAssistant Director of Operations and relevant staff member shouldattend.
The student concerned should be present in person with writtennotification that a Disciplinary Board will sit to consider his/her case. This isnecessarysincestudentswho fail toattendaBoard theyhavebeen notified of will still be eligible for expulsion. In cases of lifethreateningorwherethestudentposearisktoothers, theDisciplinaryboardmaybeheldwithoutthestudentpresent, wherethefullevidencewillbepresentedinfrontoftheboardforthedecision.
Full evidence, (as detailed above) of the issue in question must beavailable for the Board to review (in most cases the ExecutiveAcademicAssistantwillberesponsibleforcompilingthisevidence).
Full minutes must be taken of all Disciplinary Boards (usually by theExecutiveAcademicAssistant) andwill be kept in theStudentFile.Acopyof theminutesmaywiththepermissionof thestudentbesent to

The ExecutiveAcademicAssistant is responsible for coordinating thecommunication process. All students who are expelled forfeit all feestheyhavepaidtotheschool, includingtheirdeposit.
A ʻEarlyDepartureFormʼmust be completed for all expelled studentspriortotheirdeparture.ItistheresponsibilityoftheExecutiveAcademicAssistant to ensure this form is completed fully and circulated to allrelevant staff. The original copy of this form must be lodged on thestudent’sfile.

It isourobjective tooffer studentseveryopportunity tocomplete theirchosenacademicprogramme. However, itisregrettablethattheactionsof certain studentsmean thatwe have no other option than to expel, whichnecessitatestheneedforclearandrobustpolicyandprocedure.
It is essential that the grounds for expulsion be clearly andunambiguously stated in theStudentHandbook.Students cannot andwill notbeexpelledunless theoffence theyhavecommitted is clearlyidentifiedaswarrantingexpulsionintheStudentHandbook.
