• Thorns, splinter, an abrasion
• Spread to subcutaneous lesions
• Spread to bone
• Radiographs shows
• Granulomas, pus and cavities
Continuous
• Formation of draining sinuses
• Contains granules• Large and yellow to
brown
Laboratory diagnosis
• Clinical grounds
• Pus (color and size of granules)
• Antibodies in serum using CIEP
• Isolation and identification
• Treatment (for about 10 months)
• Streptomycin, co-trimoxazole, dapsone
