Case Study 1: Harvard Pilgrim

Challenge: A large health care insurer found it
was taking too long to make decisions and
realized they could not continue to operate at
this pace. They required alignment of senior
leadership, a strategy to attract talent and to
build a culture to support their future vision.
Solution: Renegade Leader worked with Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare to gain clarity and alignment of key strategic priorities. Services included executive coaching, strategic planning, two facilitation and training retreats, a sampling employee engagement survey, live interviews and the CQ professional assessment.
C-Suite leaders learned about their strengths and blind spots. They assessed their culture and its ability to support or deter from their strategic plan, offering an opportunity to bridge gaps and to distinguish their culture.
Result: The Senior Leadership Team was
successfully re-organized. All C-Suite leaders
reported improved clarity, collaboration and
communication. Interviews and the employee
engagement survey prompted innovation task
teams and operational improvements.
The Chief Medical officer engaged Renegade
Leader to bring change intelligence
assessment and training to Health Services,
building agility in department directions such
as Pharmacy Management, Health Policy,
Clinical Programs, and Population Health
Improvement. CQ will be used to build change
intelligence throughout the organization.
Case Study 2: Manchester Community Health

Challenge: Like many healthcare
organizations, MCHC grew through acquisition.
After a carefully planned alignment of services,
process and marketing, the CEO approached
Renegade Leader to quickly assess and align
the cultures of two very diverse organizations to
maximize the financial impact of their
investment, to streamline operations and
productivity, and to define and build a distinct
culture.
Solution: Services included executive coaching, senior leadership retreats, live meetings with all leaders, organization-wide employee engagement survey and assessment, CQ change leadership assessment and training for all leaders with an executive retreat to design the culture needed to support the strategic plan and to utilize the strengths of two cultures to blend into one. Training included CQ, Time Management for increased productivity and CQ, Communication and You for conflict resolution.
Result: Decrease in turnover, increased cross-functional team collaboration, gained substantial increase in communication efficiency. Leadership team reports an increase of trust, engagement and communication within the culture. MCHC hired us to continue to define, plan and align their organization’s culture including all 5 P’s of alignment, Purpose, Philosophies, Priorities, Internal and External Processes and external Projections. We will continue to support the organization to execute its strategic plan through designing, facilitating and coaching “90 day dash” action teams.
Case Study 3: WEX, Inc.

Challenge: WEX Inc. is a global leader in business payment processing information technology, with offices in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, the U.K, Italy, France, Germany, Norway and Singapore. Growing through constant acquisition and global expansion WEX engaged the Renegade Leader to build change and global leadership coaching competencies in their business unit leaders for succession planning into executive and senior leadership roles.
Solution: Hired for a year long engagement to support individual leadership executive coaching, training and assessment services provided to six executives with titles of Vice President, General Manager and VP of Marketing. Essentials skills included Change Leadership, Global Leadership, Employee Engagement, High Performance teams, Building a personal brand and product marketing.
Result: CEO, Management and HR report
demonstrated leadership abilities with increased
positive scores in client’s 360 assessment. Within
six months four leaders were promoted into more
senior roles or responsibilities including new
product marketing for WEX Health, acquisition,
growth and integration of EFS, responsibility for
sales operational technology innovation and
organization branding. Contract was extended to a
multi-year contract including executive coaching for
senior leaders.
