FESTIVAL OF MUSIC NEWS

We now have the dates for our choir’s performance in the

Festival of Music. Choir parents, your child should have

brought home a pack of information. If you need a second

copy, please see Penny in the Leabrook Activity Room. The

Welcome back to Term3. I hope everyone had a lovely school

holidays.

Menu changes: A new addition to our sandwich/wrap/roll

“extras” this term is avocado, 50 cents.

Price change: Fruit juice we have been seeling 200ml “Orchy

Fruit” juice for $2.00. Unfortunately our supplier has deleted

this product and replaced it with “Harvey fresh” 250ml fruit

juice, which will sell for $2.50. The flavours will remain the

same orange, apple and apple blackcurrant. Please amend

your price lists accordingly.

Friday Recess treats: both weeks 1 Friday 24th

July and week

2 Friday 31st

July we will be selling “sliders” for $2.00, these

are small cocktail hamburgers. Available over the counter at

recess time.

Term 3 roster: If you’re available on Tuesdays and Fridays

and would like to help in the canteen, please let me know.

game at Stradbroke in over 10 years on Saturday 25th

July

2015 (end of week 1 term 3). The game will commence at

10.30am.

We would love to see as many people as possible to cheer the

team on. Bring a friend or relative. There will be a sausage

sizzle on the day. Come and support the Mighty Stradbroke

Blues football team. Proceeds from the sausage sizzle will be

towards the football program at Stradbroke.

Fantastic effort by the boys of team Strad Bombers, to come

back from behind to win their grand final by 1 point. Top

Congratulations Stradbroke Allstars 39 points defeated Magill

June 2015 Stradbroke Lightning Strikes scored 8 goals

against Trinity Gardens Maroon’s 7. It was a great game that

came down to the last few minutes. All of the players on the

court played a full game as we had no reserves. Each player

gave 110%.

Coaches award goes to all of them: Nateisha Bruno, Chloe

Calicchia, Carmen Nacey, Hayley Orchard, Saskia Rofe,

Jasmine Schofield and Charlotte Stubber. So proud of all of

you!

Football

Stradbroke 16.10.106 defeated Knights 1.3.9.

We played the Knights in our last game before the school

holidays and had a big win 11.18-1.6. Everyone played really

well on such a cold morning. Special mentions to those

students who displayed great sportsmanship by playing a

quarter for the other team ensuring everyone got to play a

full game, and keep warm! Big congratulations to those

students who have kicked their first goal so far this season,

including Bailey Wilson, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Eden

Henderson, who kicked 2 goals against the Knights. Many

people are commenting on the spirit and good manner in

which the students conduct themselves and represent

Stradbroke proudly. Well done everyone.
