1st Version of Storyboard

This is the first version of the ‘Redemption Dinner’ Storyboard. As we can see there are many mistakes, but the main drawback of this initial version is the precision of it. Few shots are missing and the quality of drawing is not on the highest possible level. For instance, 7th picture presents only one glass of wine, whereas there should be two glasses- a symbol of two people having a dinner. Flashbacks should consist of more shots, e.g. mobile phone (CU) shot as the message shown on the phone is the crucial point for understanding the inner motivation of the storyline.

Analysis of the 2nd Version

This is the 2nd version of storyboard for the short film ‘Redemption Dinner’. Most of the effort and attention was placed on developing drawing skills before the final version was made. This is not the final version yet, as dialogues, angles, shot and scene numbers are missing. However, pictures presenting each scene and shot look quite professional and there will be no need for further improvements- there is nothing to add and quality is acceptable. While creating this version, different mistakes already included in scenario were spotted and had to be redone. An example is the change of the occasion for the event-instead of anniversary it will be proposal dinner as it should conceive bigger emotional reaction of audience.
