Long legged and graceful, he strides across the track in effortless motion. He is a registered New York bred. Smooth Jazz, himself a Grade 2 stakes winner, has produced a number of graded stakes winners, including Smooth Air, a $1 million earner and winner of the Grade 2 Ohio Derby. He has settled in at Leah Gyarmati’s Belmont Park barn. “He certainly looks and acts like a runner. He’s very mature for a young horse and he is an impressive athletic looking colt.
