Congratulations to Brad and Melissa Peele and Lexi upon the birth of a son and a broth-er. Carter Bradley Peele was born June 3, 2018 weighing 9 lbs. 2 oz. Carter came to church for the first time last Sunday morn-ing. Please keep the Peeles in your prayers as they adjust to a new addition in their family.

Happy Fathers Day to all our Stoney Creek Fathers. We hope you enjoy this day set aside to honor you and your commitment to your children and family. Please be sure to pick up our small gift to you from the church after the service today. Even if you are not a father, we invite you to take a gift. All Christian men are special to us and are father-figures. We would also like to thank the Woman’s Auxiliary for graciously donating a camp scholarship in honor of all our fathers at Stoney Creek. What a great way to make a difference! Lastly, be sure to pick up our special Father’s Day Bulletin this morning. We sincerely appreciate everyone who participated. These proceeds benefited our Camp Scholarship Fund. Because of the gen-erosity of you, each camper attending camp has received a monetary gift to help with camp expenses. God bless each of you.

We extend our Christian sympathy to Ben and Linda Casey and family upon the death of his mother. Esther Mae Smith Casey passed away June 12, 2018. A service to celebrate her life will be this afternoon

at 2 PM in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home followed by the receiving of friends. Interment will be tomorrow at 10 AM in Wayne Memorial Park. The Caseys reside at 108 Vance Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534. Please keep this family in your prayers.

The next Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be June 23rd at 8 AM at the Pointe. Jesse Massey will be the speaker. All men of the church are invited to come out and enjoy a delicious meal and fellowship. As a reminder, there will NOT be a breakfast during July and August.

Called Business Meeting To Present our 2018-2019 Proposed Budget

We will have a Called Business Meeting on Wednesday night, June 27, at 7 PM in the Sanctuary. The item of business for

this special meeting will be limited to a recommendation from our Finance Committee on adopting our proposed 2018-2019 church budget.

Our Fiscal Year Ends Saturday, June 30th, 2018 It’s Not Too Late To Give!

This is a great time to catch up on tithes or give additional offerings.

Each year during the April/May/June time-frame, our Finance Committee attempts to “forecast” or “predict” the amount of tithes, offerings and other income that will be received by the church in the upcoming fiscal year. This forecast is used to create our new church budget each year. Our current fiscal year ends in about 14 days. With God’s help and your partnership, we are expecting to receive close to 90% of this fiscal year’s forecast. That is great. It is also great that our expenses are well below the income we have received. We are thankful that our Finance Committee, staff and church membership have helped us keep expenses below income. We thank you for your financial support and your obedience to God in the area of financial giving. Our 2017-18 fiscal year ends Saturday, June 30th. We would be grateful for any financial gift you can give before this date. If you are behind on your tithes, this is a great time to catch-up. If you would like to give additional offerings, this is also a great time to do so. Thank you for your faithfulness in financial giving!

Our industrial refrigerator in the church kitchen died last week after 27 years of faithful service. A replacement will cost around $2,500. If your class or group would like to give a special offering to help with this unexpected ex-pense, we would be tremendously grateful.
