Stewardship Reflections

In today’s Gospel and reading from the letter of St. Paul we hear of the gift of the Triune

God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In our devotional life we make the sign of the cross

and recite the “Glory Be” as an expression of our faith as a Trinitarian people. But what

does it mean for Christian stewards to accept in a practical way the experience of God in

this three-fold gift? Is it a call to share our own life in community, with compassion and

love, and to work for healing, justice, peace and unity? Is it an invitation to invite others

into fellowship with us in the unity of the Father, Son and Spirit?

Intercession: That we remember the generosity of past generations who built our

Church and continue to be generous for future generations.

Dios Trino y uno, Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. En nuestra vida devocional nosotros hacemos la

señal de la cruz y recitamos el “Gloria” como una expresión de nuestra fe como pueblo

Trinitario. Pero, ¿qué significa para los corresponsables cristianos aceptar de una manera real

la experiencia de Dios en este triple don? ¿Es este un llamado a compartir nuestra propia vida

en comunidad, con compasión y amor, y a trabajar por la sanación, la justicia, la paz y la

unidad? ¿Es una invitación para invitar a otros a la fraternidad con nosotros en la unidad del

Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo?

Intercesión: Para que recordemos la generosidad de las generaciones pasadas que

construyeron nuestra Iglesia y continuemos siendo generosos para las generaciones futuras.

Sacramental Notes Baptisms: Please call the parish office to register in the parish and before making any plans as to day or time for the sacrament. See the bulletin for announcement on baptismal classes. Parents and Godparents are both required to attend classes. Marriages, Anniversaries, Validation of Marriages: Please call the parish office and make arrangements for these well ahead of the date of the event. (6 months or more). Funerals: Family members need to call the parish office as quickly as possible to make arrangements. Do not set a date or time before speaking to Fr. Brian. Adult Sacraments: Eucharist, Confirmations, Reception into the Church, RCIA program and participation: call the parish office for more information. Anointing of the Sick: Do not hesitate to call Fr. Brian in case of a serious illness. Please call the parish office to receive this sacrament. First Communion and Confirmation First Communion and Confirmation are 2 year preparation Sacraments. For 1st Communion the first year starts in 2nd grade with Reconciliation and the second year of preparation ends in 3rd grade with First Communion. Confirmation preparation begins in grade 9. If a child has not attended the first year of preparation for 1st Communion or Confirmation, they will be placed in the first year class for that specific Sacrament. It is MANDATORY for a student to complete BOTH years of preparation in order to receive these Sacraments.

from Bishop Coerver on Wednesday. A

special thank you to their teachers who

prepared them and their sponsors who have

stood by with them as they prepared for

this Sacrament. Please continue to keep

them in your prayers as they set forth on

their journey of faith, as soldiers of Christ,

armed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

TRINITY SUNDAY

Trinity Sunday commemorates and honors not an event,

but a reality: the Holy Trinity. Trinity Sunday always

falls on the Sunday after Pentecost.

Trinity Sunday, officially called "The Solemnity of the

Most Holy Trinity," is one of the few celebrations of the

Christian Year that commemorates a reality and doctrine

rather than a person or event. On Trinity Sunday, Christians

remember and honor the eternal God: the Father, the Son,

and the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is best described in the

Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed, commonly called the

Nicene Creed.

The Trinity is one of the most fascinating - and controversial

- Christian teachings. The Trinity is described as a "mystery." By mystery the

Church does not mean a riddle, but rather the Trinity is a reality above our

human comprehension that we may begin to grasp, but ultimately must know

through worship, symbol, and faith. Essentially the Trinity is the belief that

God is one in essence (Greek ousia), but distinct in person (Greek hypostasis).

The Greek word for person means "that which stands on its own," or

"individual reality," and does not mean the persons of the Trinity are three

human beings. Therefore Christians believe that the Father, the Son, and the

Holy Spirit are somehow distinct from one another (not divided though), yet

completely united in will and essence.

Father, You sent your Word to bring us truth and your Spirit to make us holy.

Through them we come to know the mystery of your life.

Help us to worship you, one God in three persons, You reveal yourself in the

depths of our being, by proclaiming and living our faith in you.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you

and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen

LA SANTÍSIMA TRINIDAD

Domingo de la Santísima Trinidad conmemora y honra no un

evento, sino una realidad: la Santísima Trinidad. Domingo de la

santísima Trinidad cae siempre en domingo después de

Pentecostés.

Domingo de la Santísima Trinidad, denominado oficialmente

"La solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad", es una de las pocas

celebraciones del Año Cristiano que conmemora una realidad y

la doctrina en lugar de una persona o evento. El domingo de la

Santísima Trinidad, los cristianos recordar y honrar al eterno

Dios: el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo. La Trinidad es el

mejor descrito en el Credo Niceno-Constantinopolitan,

comúnmente llamado el Credo Niceno.

La Trinidad es uno de los más fascinantes - y controvertidas - enseñanzas

cristianas. La Trinidad es descrito como un "misterio" por el misterio de la Iglesia

no significa una adivinanza, sino de la Trinidad es una realidad por encima de

nuestra comprensión humana que podemos comenzar a comprender, pero, en
