October 2013 - May 2014 Project Manager York Civil Pty Ltd NQRT2 Fremantle Ports, Rail Terminal Extension - Value $28 million My role as the team leader on a FastTrack project involved the leading a team of staff consisting of 7 engineers, 1 safety, 2 supervisors, 1 contracts administrator and a Site Manager. My main responsibilities included: Full responsibility for the procurement of all subcontract packages both from a

commercial, safety and programme deadlines. Procurement of all materials, and engaging with suppliers to set up new accounts

as the company moves into WA for the first time. Interaction with stakeholders and completion of meeting minutes claims for

payments and general correspondence with the client and the stakeholders. Cost controls for the contract are monitored and we ensure the budget is met.

February 2012 - September 2013 Senior Project Engineer Brookfield Multiplex Roy Hill Accommodation Village, Roy Hill Iron Ore, The Pilbara - Value $195 million My role involved the procurement and tendering process of early subcontractors for the start-up works of the Roy hill Project including advisory works on the Processing Plant Project. I have in addition been tasked with scheduling with the Planner, final account tender documentation with Commercial and instructing and leading a team of 4 project engineers. I worked on site with a team of engineers and supervisors, safety representatives and a couple of surveyors undertaking works for the village which includes earthworks, drainage, power, water and sewerage for a fly camp and a temporary central facility, earthworks and roadwork’s for the main contract for the village. The roads constructed consisted of a total of 16km in length; concrete structure installations of over 7,000 cubic metres and total earthworks undertaken of over 400,000 cubic metres. My Packages/Contracts from tender to completion included; Fly Camp - $15 million - including the construction of concrete foundations,

concrete footpaths, utilities/services, installation of treatment plant facility, commissioning of all 200 person facility.

Temporary Central Facility Complex - $16 million - construction of concrete foundations, concrete footpaths, utilities/services for 1000 person facility.

Earthworks and Roadwork’s - $9 million – construction of main camp earthworks including crushing, screening and processing of 140,000cu.m of materials, construction of access roads, car parks including surfacing and kerbing and installation of all services.

In ground Services to the Main Camp - water, waste and communications - $22 million, including pumping stations, draw pits, kiosk concrete foundations.

Power Supply including Fuel Farm - $22 million – construction of concrete foundations, plinths, blast walls and all services, HV cables, scope of works for electrical supplier and installer, installation of generators, fencing and commissioning of the plant.

Waste and Water Supply Plants – $6.4 million - construction of concrete foundations, plinths, blast walls and all services.

Concrete package for all footpath slabs and workshops - $9.1 million. Concrete Batching Installation – $4.1 million – from tender to completion and

commissioning including all storage pits, washout pits, concrete silo storage foundations.

I quickly progressed from measurement engineer to site manager, I then went on to project manage the earth/civil works for a number of energy, residential, commercial, retail, sports and demolition/remedial works projects. to allow an existing “Baillie Bridge” to be disused - £7.5m. Brownfield Site Redevelopment Carntyne, Glasgow - Redevelopment of derelict

Provan Gasworks, Glasgow - Bio-remediation contract consisting of the excavation of contaminated material, treating to standards set and agreed with SEPA - £1.4m.

Western Expansion Zone, Hamilton Technology Park, High Blantyre - Earthworks

contract consisting of the utilisation of old coal-working arisings to form platforms for house building works - £980k.

Shanks Waste Disposal, Lochgilphead Landfill Site, Argyll and Bute - Existing landfill site upgraded to new required European standards including the capping of the existing waste mass with liners - £1.2m.

Wimpey Homes – Robroyston, Nr Glasgow - Large Earthworks contract to Cut and fill material obtained from the site to form platforms for the construction of roads and houses - £650k.

HBG Management - St Andrews Bay Development, St Andrews - New access road and earthworks, including rock excavation and clay cuttings, drainage works and car park hard standings for a new 208 bedroom hotel - £2.8m.

Pidrichie Landfill Site, Near Stonehaven - Existing Landfill site capped with liners and regraded and topsoil to make landfill site environmentally friendly - £350k.

Pitreavie Infrastructure Works – Dunfermline - Construction of new access roads, drainage and associated utility services network, including street lighting and footpath constructions. As well as construction of two new surface water treatment lagoons and the earthworks for new platforms for a new housing scheme - £650k.

Measurement Engineer Hyundai Infrastructure Works, Dunfermline - Involved as the measurement

engineer included costing, measures and reports and final accounts for earthworks, roadwork’s, drainage and concrete hard standings - £6m.

June 1988 - September 1998 Freelance Site Engineer Various Companies As a self-employed engineer I worked with numerous companies on a large variety of contracts of varying duration’s namely: Electrical Substations foundations, drainage and access road. New parapet walls and bridge strengthening on a railway bridge, installed concrete

totalling 400 cubic metres. Upgrading of railway stations under shutdown procedures. Access road and drainage for new industrial scheme. Road and Rail Bridge strengthening works. Construction of new flats. Roadworks and earthworks within Faselane Naval Base. Watermain laying, lead replacement works for local authorities. Concrete constructed holding tanks and concrete bases.
