STAIRCASESWe believe that a staircase should be a striking feature. The design of a stairway is primarily governed by the intended purpose, the anticipated frequency and the volume of usage.

By combining different structural and aesthetic elements, we can provide a multitude of options. Steelway are able to design, manufacture and install anything from basic steel stairs to the most elaborate of staircases.

We have produced complex and simple steel stairs to meet architects requirements in a range of materials and finishes. With all our steel staircases, safety is combined with good design to provide buildings with an enduring feature.

Our steel staircases can be fitted with a variety of handrail and balustrade options. These vary from a glass balustrade to perforated infill panels, to unique and innovative designs thanks to our laser cutting technology. Handrails are available in mild steel polyester powder coated/painted or a stainless steel, various stair tread options available to suit your requirements. These options can give your project the high quality finish it deserves.

All designs meet the relevant British Standards and Building Regulations.

STEEL HANDRAILSSteelway offer a variety of steel handrail options in a range of materials. Material options include stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium. Our handrails can be manufactured for both internal and external applications, such as fire escapes, feature staircases, stairwells, office stairs, balconies, footbridges and walkways.

Handrails are supplied to perfectly complement our staircases, platforms and other similar structures. However, they can be designed as completely independent items to fit customers own equipment or civil engineering work.

To make sure the steel handrails meet your exact needs, a range of finishes are available. These include painted, galvanised, powder coated, anodised and decorative polish.

These finishes can be applied to a variety of materials including aluminium, mild and stainless steel. All steel handrails are designed to meet the relevant British Standards and Building Regulations.

Production of our stainless steel handrailing is done to the best quality. Whether you need the tube handrail fixed to the wall with a secure bracket, or if you need it to be on top of the railing, we have the suitable solution.

Benefits of Steel Balustrades:

• From traditional vertical bar type balustrades to more contemporary bespoke laser cut designs are available in either mild or stainless steel.

• Infill panels can be supplied in plain or perforated plate, toughened glass, and stainless steel tensioned wire.

• All finishes catered for, from primer coated to polyester powder coated or polished stainless steel.

ARCHITECTURAL BALUSTRADES

Steelway design, manufacture and install steel balustrades to suit architectural designs, individual needs or industrial requirements. Balustrades are functional but they can also be dramatic.

Steel Spiral staircases are a traditional solution where access is restricted. We can combine our spiral staircases with an attractive design feature, for internal or external applications.

STAIR TREAD OPTIONS

STEEL SPIRAL STAIRCASES & HELICAL STAIRS

Steelway offer a range of stair tread options and various stair layouts, designs and finishes. Single or multi-flight, bolted or welded assembly, galvanised plate, durbar plate, open mesh, laser cut, or pan type stair treads, suitable for receiving final finish or concrete/timber infill by others. The choice is yours. Whatever you require, we have the solutions. We will always ensure that you’re left with a product that you are more than happy with.

Our Spiral Staircases are available in a range of materials, balustrades & tread combinations, to meet the demands of any application.

Steelway offer a full project management and installation service on the full range of products we design and manufacture. These include access metalwork, fencing products, security kiosks, cages, specialist fabrications and access covers and frames.

INSTALLATION

We install our products throughout the United Kingdom and can offer project management support for overseas projects.

We have many years’ experience of installing our products in residential properties, schools, airports, prisons, defence establishments, water utilities, railways, telecommunications infrastructure, power generation facilities including nuclear and general construction projects.

The project management and installation team are based at our Wolverhampton manufacturing plant. This highly experienced and trained team consists of a Project Site Operations Manager supported by specific project managers, framework project managers, installation managers who are backed up by SSSTS certified site supervisors and fully equipped and trained installation teams.

Our involvement on individual projects can last from 1 day to 2 years and have worked on projects up to the value of £2.5million.

We offer a full turnkey project installation service including: site plant and craneage, full site installation survey, backed up by site specific risk assessments, method statements and site handover documentation provided as standard practice. We can provide off site modular installation.

Steelway are fully committed to site safety and the safe installation of all our products. We are accredited to the Safe Contractor scheme, CHAS, audited annually by Achilles UVDB and RISQS certification, BSI in relation to our Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental accreditations.We are CE certified upto excecution class 3.
