    Spare coils - About 250 coils installed at CERN (40 different types) MTBF: only 1 coil failure within 25 years (TCR PA4) Delivery time for a replacement coil about 36 months Call for tender for spare coils in preparation Spare coils will be available at CERN end of 2009

  • Conclusions all SVCs: thorough preventive maintenance SVC for Booster, BEQ2 and BEQ3 for SPS are in a good state spare SVCs BEQ1+BB3 are operational, but approaching end of life time (decision required if we invest in spare parts for BEQ2 and BEQ3 or into a consolidation program for BEQ1+BB3)
