THE PROBLEM
EVEN TODAY THE TYPICAL EXHAUST FAN DOES A BETTER JOB OF SPREADING THE ODORS THROUGHOUT THE BATHROOM THAN CARRYING THE SMELL AWAY…
![Page 8: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
LET’S LOOK AT SOME PREVIOUS SOLUTIONS FOR THE STINKING PROBLEM. ONE WAY OF FIGHTING ODORS IS THE USE OF DEODORIZERS AND FRAGRANCES.
![Page 9: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
BY THE YEAR 2000, MAN HAD TURNED TO OZONE-CONTAINING BUBBLES TO COMBAT THE ODOROUS ENEMY.
THIS PATENT IS 51-PAGES LONG.
![Page 10: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
ANOTHER SOLUTION WAS TO ATTACK THE FOUL SMELL ELECTRONICALLY…
![Page 11: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
AND YET ANOTHER WAS TO SPRAY WATER TO ABSORB ODOR BODIES FROM THE AIR…
![Page 12: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
OR USE VENTILATORS AND DUCTS TO EVACUATE GASES FROM THE BATHROOM…
![Page 13: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
AND EVEN TO DISGUISE THESE CONSPICUOUS APPARATUS BY SIMULATING FLOWER POTS
![Page 14: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)

The Eco-mode utilizes a built-in exhaust fan that removes the noxious odors from the toilet bowl through the existing Drain Waste and Vent piping to the exterior atmosphere.
By removing these fumes using the exhaust fan inside the toilet, it revolutionizes the common ceiling fan located above the toilet that mainly disperses the odor throughout the bathroom with only a minimal extraction of toxic gases.

AS A RESULT, THE USERS STARTED ECONOMIZING WATER BY PLACING LARGE OBJECTS IN THE TANK TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF WATER CONSUMPTION
![Page 24: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
When new laws limited each flush to 1.6 gallons, a moresophisticated technology developed using pressurized cylinders torecuperate part of the energy lost in the toilet tank.
![Page 25: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
CYLINDERS AND MULTIPLE RESERVOIRS WERE ALSO USED…

THE THE ECO-MODE
SOLVES ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS
IN A SIMPLE
AND COMPACT
TOILET
![Page 40: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/40.jpg)
SYPHONLESS GRAVITY FLUSH
The ECO-MODE uses a gravity discharge container that does not depend on the large volume of water needed by conventional toilets.
The removal of waste from the bowl is accomplished by its own weight thus avoiding double or triple flushing.
In this new system, water is used mostly to rinse the toilet and clean the waste pipe.
![Page 41: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/41.jpg)
The ECO-MODE makes use of the high water pressure supplied by the utility services.
Instead of wasting this kinetic energy in the tank, water is mixed with air by a pipe that uses no moving parts, thus creating pulsating sprays ideally suited for cleaning purposes.
![Page 42: START START U NITED S TATES P ATENT AND T RADEMARK O FFICE Patent No.: US 6,467,101 B1 Date of Patent: Oct. 22, 2002.](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022070416/5697c0201a28abf838cd2769/html5/thumbnails/42.jpg)
