sack lunch with a drink (to be thrown away after they are done). Next week is spring break so I hope everyone has a great time and a safe week! FIRST GRADE- Mrs. Adams: We will be going to the Wondertorium in Stillwater this Friday. Remember to pack a sack lunch, one where everything can be thrown away, including water bottles. Our memory verse for the week is "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly." Colossians 3:16. Our spelling words are: when, from, don't, I'm, grow, float, show, growing, flowing, showing. We will be taking our spelling test tomorrow due to the field trip. Have a wonderful spring break!! SECOND GRADE – Mrs. Powell: Happy Spring Break! Be safe if you travel and enjoy your precious children. THIRD GRADE - Ms. Svajhart: Wow, isn't this weather amazing! I hope it last all through next week also. This week: Reading and Spelling Test: Friday, March 16th. Social Studies: Invention Cube due Thursday, March 15th. Chapel: The third graders are singing in chapel on Friday. I hope to see you all there. Dolphin Tale: This Friday we are going to watch the movie Dolphin Tale. We just finished reading the book and learning more about dolphins. The kids are welcome to bring pillows and blankets to snuggle up and watch the movie. I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Spring Break! FOURTH GRADE - Mrs. Klein: Fourth graders enjoyed all of the extra activities for NLSW. Thank you to Mrs. Goll and the Student Council for planning the good times. Thank you to all of the students for singing praises Sunday in the church services. This week we are trying to settle in and finish up the third quarter. There are several tests and the big memory work assignment. Check the student planners and keep up with us on the BB. The math test on Thursday will be a trade/grade. For some of us it will be well worth extra concentration and effort. These last few tests of the quarter can make a difference. I hope you will have a safe and restful week off for spring break. Blessings... FIFTH GRADE - Mrs. Schatte: Just two more days until Spring Break! I think we will make it. I was pleased that all rough drafts were turned in on time. Way to go children and parents! Tests this week include spelling and reading on Friday. Scenes 6 & 7 of the musical are due March 26, the Monday after break. Please listen to your child's part in relation to the scenes. Several of us have fallen behind on memorizing parts. Have a wonderful break and gets lots of sunshine and rest.

Middle School Mrs. Harbeson: I'm back! Yes...I'm still your child's language teacher; I just had a horrible time

kicking that flu. All is better now. Thanks for the extra prayers! Just a few days until Spring Break! I hope all who are traveling (and those who aren't!) have a safe and relaxing break. All classes have taken grammar and literary term tests this week, and we are grading folders tomorrow. Blessings to you all!

Mrs. Hanson: 6th – We have taken a couple days to review material from the beginning of the year, atomic structure, to prepare us for the next chapter of chemical bonding. These kids seem to really enjoy this content which makes it more fun to teach. 7th grade – We are ending our quarter with the study of all the living creatures. Currently we are learning how to classify all living things. Did you know an ant is an animal? Many kids were shocked! 8th grade – All projects are in and presentations have begun. I am pleased with the finished products, so far, and expect that to continue through this week.

Mrs. Ramsey: It's the end of the 3rd quarter and Spring Break is upon us. Check Fastdirect tonight to make sure your student has all work turned in...only 2 days left to get caught up. Pre-algebra and algebra notebooks are due Friday. Have a restful, safe and blessed Spring Break. In His service...

Mr. Watters: Spring break is almost here, but first we do have a little more work to do. Sixth grade has a test on Friday over chapters 28/29. Study guides have been given. Seventh grade will be given a take-home test over chapter 22 on Wednesday. Eighth grade has a test on Thursday over Chapter 22. Track will begin on Monday after Spring break. This will be a six week season and I encourage your kids to come out and see what their skill level can be. Also, I have already begun planning for Washington D.C.. An informational note will come out the week after break for all the seventh graders, so please begin your plans. The trip to DC will be the first full week of October. Have a great break and get ready for the last quarter of the school year.
