The 2015 HiSET Test Materials (Test Books and Unused Answer Sheets) must be returned to ETS at the conclusion of the 2015 testing year by chief examiners. You may not keep the materials for any reason after the 2015 testing year concludes. Reuse of these materials may result in the closure of a center. The following steps outline the process chief examiners need to follow before returning materials to ETS.

1. Inventory and document your current stock of 2015 HiSET® Test Books and Answer Sheets on the HiSET Test Materials Return Notice. All information must be entered on the HiSET Test Materials Return Notice and returned to ETS. The HiSET Test Materials Return Notice will ask for the following information:

a. Quantity Ordered, by subtest/content area (e.g., count by Math Form A, Math B, etc.)

b. Quantity Returned, by subtest/content area (e.g., count by Math Form A, Math B, etc.)

c. Shipment Tracking Number (if applicable)

d Signature of Chief Examiner and a witness

• Include Spanish-language test books, photo-enlarged test books and answer sheets.

• Do not include return kits, Supervisor’s Irregularity Reports, or large-print answer sheets.

All information must be entered on the HiSET Test Materials Return Notice and mailed to ETS. Test books should be sorted and counted by subtest and form. For example, sort your test books by Math Form A, Math Form B, etc.

2. Check inside every book. Make sure there are no answer sheets, scrap paper, or other materials hidden within the book. Shake the book upside-down by its spine.

3. Check that none of the answer sheets are partially filled out.

4. Contact ETS if your inventory does not match. Please make a note on the Test Material Return Notice if you returned any test books throughout the testing year.

5. Make a photocopy of the HiSET Test Materials Return Notice for your records.

6. Package materials in a box per diagram on page 4.

7. Check to see if you received a return kit with your test materials.

8. Create and print return label.

• Use the following URL: https://row.ups.com

• Enter company alias (etsnj)

• Enter log-in ID (hiset) and password (hiset)

• Choose “Test Book Returns” after entering test center number

9. Write down your package tracking number(s). Do this for each carton.

10. Ship your package as follows:

Use one of these preferred methods with United Parcel Service (UPS) as the preferred courier. Any of the methods used below will provide a traceable receipt from origin to destination and chain of custody for the shipment.

a. Regularly Scheduled UPS Pickup – If you have a regularly scheduled pickup, please hand the shipment to the UPS driver at your earliest opportunity.

b. UPS Pickup Request – Before test day you need to call UPS at 800-PICK-UPS to schedule a pickup on test day or as soon as possible after testing concludes.

c. UPS Drop-off – Drop off your shipment at the UPS Authorized Shipping Outlet location and obtain a traceable receipt for your package.

Other Traceable Express CourierIf UPS is not available in your area:

• Do not use first-class mail or any non-traceable method of shipment.

• Ship materials using a traceable method to the address below:

Always keep materials secure

until pickup.

• You will receive instructions with a link to download a return label.

• This label is to be used only for returning materials to be scored. You will receive different labels for the annual return of test books at the end of the year.
