Having recently joined Projects Construction Company in the capacity of General Manager, I am delighted to be tasked with leading this thriving construction division into an exciting new era. Steven is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 12 years’ experience at senior

management levels. Steven boasts an honours degree from Reading CEM

in the UK and has obtained chartered membership to the Royal Institute

of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). In addition to this he is also a Chartered

Engineer and Associate Arbitrator. He has experience in UK Main Contracting and

Blue Chip Cost Consultancies in the Middle Eastern Construction Sector where he

has been for over 6 years now. Steven’s role as the GM of Projects Construction

commenced in 2015 and he has an active role in all aspects of the business.

Since its inception, PMIS has had tremendous success in all aspects of grit blasting and painting works, largely attributable to the unique internal tank treatment system, in use within the company.

Projects Access Scaffolding & Formwork Company W.L.L. is a joint venture between Projects Holding Company and Access (Middle East) Scaffolding and Formwork Company W.L.L. of Ajman, UAE. The company was established to service the scaffold and formwork rental requirements of the Bahrain market.

Originally formed as a support service to sister companies Projects Construction and Projects Marine & Industrial Services, the company currently has one of the most comprehensive stocks of scaffolding, exceeding some 1,420 tonnes in total.

The Company is ISO 9001-2000 certified by TUV Rheinland, Germany, for scaffolding and formwork and of fers all services to the highest technical standards, supported by a fully integrated professional Quality Management System.

The company currently has a total workforce of 103 people. Health and Safety in the workplace is of prime importance with the company’s objective of zero reported incidents. All company activities are carried out in accordance with BS (British Standard) 5973 and other relevant standards.

Specialised Equipment Used By Projects Access Includes:

Anchorlock

Anchorlock is a universally established prefabricated scaffolding system. Used for both access and shoring applications, its inherent si m plicity is what makes anchorlock such a versati l e , ef f icient and cost ef fec t ive alternative to traditional tube and coupler scaffolds.

Anchorlock access scaffolding can be used for new build as well as repair and maintenance projects.

Tube and Fitting

Projects Access supplies large quantities of steel scaf fold tube, board and a comp reh ens i ve r an g e of scaffold components, on a hire or sale basis.

Besides the above equipment, Projects Access offers a wide variety of scaffold accessories including unit beams, ladder beams, gin wheels and brick-guards.

Unit beams can be easily linked together to span between scaffolds. Standard tube fitting can be attached to these beams.

Ladder beams are also used to span between scaffolds. They provide a safe, strong support system which easily integrates with standard tube and fittings.

Gin wheels can be used with a 19mm diameter fall rope for raising and lowering material from a scaffold platform.

Other items available include brick-guardsand scaffold spanners.

Projects & Properties (P&P) W.L.L. was es t ab l is h e d in 1977 as a d i v is ion of the Projects Holding Company. As one of the first professional Real Estate companies in Bahrain, its aim from the outset has been to provide a quality service for all the housing needs of the expatriate community in Bahrain.

Property Management

For many years we have acted as property managers for compounds & apartments around the island. Since the re-branding of the Projects group we have been working ever closer with our sister companies. This enables us to expand our service of fering in a unique way, to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, offering a ‘total management solution’.

Our knowledge of the construction aspect of buildings allows us to more easily anticipate and so lve any management or maintenance problems which may occur. We have access to s taf f ing and sk i l l bases that our comp et i tors are unable to of fer as franchised operations, without a local network of back up systems and a strong reputation, such as that earned by P&P in its long and active role in the field.

In 28 years Projects & Properties has served at one time or another, most, if not all of the major companies established or setting up in Bahrain. As well as our role in the residential sector we have also been involved in letting commercial space to major companies in notable buildings such as the Al Salam & Diplomat Towers, Bahrain Commercial Complex and Al Matrook Tower, to name a few.

Our consultants are centrally co-ordinated from the Projects and Properties office. Working together as a team, sharing knowledge and daily experience in the field, maximises our effectiveness to the client.
