time.”
Positive Behaviour! Positive behaviour in the classroom and playground is highly
encouraged at Kenthurst Public School. Students can earn:
Key to Success tokens (KTS keys)
Merit Certificates
KTS keys are Free and Frequent rewards – students place their earnt keys into a class lucky dip. Canteen vouchers are drawn each week at Friday recess assembly.
Merit certificates are intermittent rewards – two merit certificates are awarded each week by classroom teachers, science and library, at Monday morning assembly. These focus on our three school values: Respect, Responsibility and Personal Best.
Students collect four merits to entitle the student to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Certificate. This is awarded at our formal assemblies on Thursday.

Minor, Major and Critical Behaviour
Teachers follow classroom and playground behaviour
management flowcharts for any negative behaviour.
The type of behaviour exhibited by the student, justifies if it is
a minor, major or critical incident. Teachers record the incident
on a paper referral slip and a consequence is put in place
(following the management flowchart).
