School Fees
Nearly $26, 362. 00 of $29 228.30 have been collected in School Fees. Just over $2800.00 remain outstanding. A second late fee notice will be sent home in June. The school will be presenting 2016-17 school fees for chair signature in May.
The NHA fee remains the largest unpaid fee.
The school will be reducing 1 NHA for September.
March 17 & 18 Parent Teacher Conferences
Teachers look forward to discussing your child’s learning growth with you! Conference Manager Opened March 14 at 8:00 am. By Noon we had 126 conferences booked! So awesome!
We celebrate over 90% conferences were booked in November! Teachers are asked to call parents who were not able to attend.
Interpreters are available for most languages
DPA / Outdoor Recess Equipment
Mrs. Gillis will be updating the DPA kits
as the weather has turned warmer
and the ice is off the field! The school
asks students to leave rackets, sticks
and other sports equipment at home
to ensure safety for all on the
playground.

for our projections from the district to begin our
Homeroom Organization and staffing rounds.
New Brighton SchoolMrs. Fradette met with the
students designated for the
New Brighton school on March
3 in the learning commons. The
students were excited to meet
and share their ideas for the
new school with her!
Designated New Brighton
students will attend a school
within a school in New Brighton
starting in September.
NYR Grade 6 students will be
directed to St. Albert the Great.
School Safety
The school practiced an unannounced Lock Down Drill on March 1 with Constable Staneke present. We have three more school evacuation drills to practice by end of June.
CPS continue to monitor our playground zone for speeding.
There seems to be more evidence of community members using the field / playground. Thank you for making the school aware if there is a safety issue!

Accountability Pillar Surveys Thank you to all families who participated in the
Accountability Pillar Survey.
Concerns / questions / ideas: please chat with Mrs. Gruending!
District Parent Satisfaction Surveys: The Parent Satisfaction Survey contains
nine questions. Two of these can be customized by the principal. The survey
will go out to schools for distribution the week of April 18, 2016. The survey
will close May 6, 2016.
Accountability Pillar SurveysTell Them From Me – Mrs. Gillis
After discussing the TTFM Survey with our Div. 2 students we plan to focus on areas related
to belonging, safety and kindness.
The Zones of Regulation offer a framework to foster self-regulation and emotional
control. Students learn common language to name and discuss concerns as well as
identify calming strategies. For more information please join us April 7th for our Parent
Night.
Peace Patrols is an exciting educational opportunity that teaches students to be
effective problem solvers, positive decision makers, and peaceful role models. A student
interest meeting will be held and plans to move forward will be made.
