Welcome Visitors
We wish to extend a warm welcome to all who attend Mass
with us each weekend as visitors to St. Richard Parish.
We are happy to have you with us. Please introduce yourself to our pastor, Fr. Flannagan, at the back of the Church at the
end of Mass.
~ ~~~~ All Are Welcome ~ ~~~~
We would like to extend a warm and caring invitation to you to join our parish. We look forward to having you become a

Annual Thanksgiving Drive
It’s time once again for our Annual Thanksgiving Drive
In order to better meet the needs of our community, we will be
collecting gift cards from local grocery stores along with our
traditional Thanksgiving turkeys and fixings. Gift cards and food pantry collections will be received.
We are asking that donated turkeys be brought to the church
only on Sunday, November 20th as we have no storage
facilities for them to be received any earlier.
Your support of these efforts is greatly appreciated.

November 6th ~ Thirty second Sunday in Ordinary Time
We need to hear Jesus’ words to the Thessalonians – especially
on this weekend before our national election. God - Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit, - loves us and gives us “everlasting encouragement and good hope”. Paul’s prayer for the Thessalonians can be our pray, “May the Lord direct your
hearts to the love of God and to the endurance of Christ.” As
people of faith, as disciples, we must bring the Word of God
into the marketplace and into our lives with our families, with
co-workers, and neighbors.
Archdiocese of Boston
32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time A near-by day care center often takes the kids out for a walk
around the neighborhood. It looks like a small human train as
each kid holds on to a long rope that connects them altogether.
As they walk along, they call out warnings to their friends: car!
curb! puddle! oops! They look around as they walk, staring at
people or signs, bumping into each other and sometimes trip-
ping over themselves! No one can help but smile at the little
engines that could! Our family ties help us navigate through life. We hold on to the
love and memories we share; we depend on each other for
warnings and support; we offer help and hope so everyone
makes the journey of life safely. Families are not always per-
fect, and at times, things are not ideal. But that does not prevent
us from reaching out to others, especially those who have no
one, those who have been abandoned or lost. In the holidays
ahead, everyone is willing to help others, but it is a short-lived
desire and often distant at best. Beat the rush! Start now to offer
healing and hope, to support and comfort, to notice the pain
and suffering of others. It’s all about sticking together, hanging
on to the rope of faith, hope and love. Let us help someone
make the journey of life safely! It will make your own journey
that much better.

For the Catholic Community, the Feast of All Souls is a time to remember those who have died. Each year on
this day, we give thanks to God for the life of our loved
ones and remember that Jesus Christ conquered death and
we await the resurrection of the just on the last day. During the month of November, we have our
Book of Remembrance placed in the sanctuary area under
the podium in which you may personally enroll the names
of your deceased family members.

Planned Giving
Is it that time in your life when you are beginning to wonder
where you can make the best impact with a gift from your
estate . Have you considered your own parish and its needs to
continue the work of the Lord. You can tailor your gift as you
would like it to be used. It is always best to get legal council.
Please know that we are most grateful for your prayerful
consideration as a beneficiary.
Thank you very much.
