PRAYER BEFORE DIVINE WORSHIP

Almighty God, grant to Your church Your Holy Spirit and the wisdom that comes down from above, that Your Word may not be bound but have free course and be preached to the joy and edifying of Christ’s holy people, that in steadfast faith we may serve You and, in the confession of Your name, abide unto the end; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

ORDER OF DIVINE WORSHIP (Please silence your cell phones and mobile devices during our worship time. Our 10:30am worship

service is live-streamed on the World Wide Web. Therefore, we consider your child/ren coming forward for the Children’s Message as parental permission to publicly share their image.)

Pre-service Music Welcome and Announcements Opening Hymn

8:00 a.m.: “Shout to the Lord” My Jesus, My Savior, Lord, there is none like You; All of my days I want to praise The wonders of Your mighty love. My Comfort, My Shelter, Tower of refuge and strength; Let ev’ry breath, All that I am, Never cease to worship You. Shout to the Lord, All the earth let us sing Power and majesty, praise to the King; Mountains bow down and the seas will roar At the sound of Your Name. I sing for joy at the work of Your hands, Forever I’ll love You, Forever I’ll stand, Nothing compares to the promise I have ... in You. {Repeat All} Words by Darlene Zschech; © 1993 Hillsong Australia, Integrity’s Hosana! 10:30 a.m.: “We Believe” *(Soloist, Adult/Children’s Choir, and Congregation) (Soloist) In this time of desperation When all we know is doubt and fear, There is only one foundation, We believe, we believe. (Choir Men) In this broken generation When all is dark, You help us see. There is only one salvation, We believe, we believe. (Choir and Children)

We believe in God the Father; We believe in Jesus Christ; We believe in the Holy Spirit, And He’s given us new life. We believe in the crucifixion; We believe that He conquered death. We believe in the resurrection And He’s comin’ back again, We believe. (Choir Ladies) So let our faith be more than anthems, Greater than the songs we sing; And in our weakness and temptations, We believe, we believe. (Choir, Children, and Congregation) We believe in God the Father; We believe in Jesus Christ; We believe in the Holy Spirit, And He’s given us new life. We believe in the crucifixion; We believe that He conquered death. We believe in the resurrection And He’s comin’ back again, We believe. (Children) Let the lost be found, and the dead be raised, In the here and now, let love invade. (Full Choir) Let the Church live loud, our God will see; “We believe, we believe.” (Choir and Children) And the gates of hell, will not prevail, For the power of God, has torn the vail. Now we know Your love, will never fail. We believe, we believe. (Choir, Children, and Congregation) We believe in God the Father; We believe in Jesus Christ; We believe in the Holy Spirit, And He’s given us new life. We believe in the crucifixion; We believe that He conquered death. We believe in the resurrection And He’s comin’ back again, He’s comin’ back again. He’s comin’ back again, We believe. (Soloist) We believe.

Invocation Pastor: In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Response: Amen. Confession and Absolution (based on Psalm 112, ESV) ALL: Praise the LORD! Pastor: Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Response: Who greatly delights in his commandments! Pastor: His offspring will be mighty in the land; Response: The generation of the upright will be blessed. Pastor: Those who fear God and delight in His ways, also see their sinfulness and need

for forgiveness. So, we come before Him with repentant hearts and confess our sin trusting in His Word that He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sin. So, let us come before God, confessing our sin and seeking His mercy.

Response: Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Maker of all things, Judge of all people, we admit and confess our sinfulness. We have turned away from each other in our thinking, speaking and doing. We have done the evil you forbid and have not done the good you demand. We do repent and are truly sorry for these our sins. Have mercy on us, kind Father, because of the obedience of our Lord and Savior, your Son, Jesus Christ. Forgive us all that is past, and with the power of the Holy Spirit move us to serve you faithfully. Set our feet upon the new path of life, and build your kingdom here through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Pastor: In accord with God’s promise to forgive the sins to those who repent and turn to him and by the command of our Lord Jesus Christ, upon this your confession, I forgive you all of your sins in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. May he keep you in grace by the Holy Spirit, lead you to greater faith and obedience, and bring you to live with him forever.

Response: Amen. Pastor: The righteous will never be moved; Response: He will be remembered forever. Hymn of Response: “He Is Exalted” He is exalted, the King is exalted on high; I will praise Him.

He is exalted, forever exalted and I will praise His name!

He is the Lord, forever His truth shall reign; Heaven and earth rejoice in His holy name;

He is exalted, the King is exalted on high.
