Marriage Minute

In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus offers us eternal happiness, and the doorway to access this eternal life is Mercy. The following is from this year’s Good Friday Homily at St Peter’s Basilica given by Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa, and it sheds great light on the dignity of the family. “There is only one thing that can truly save the world, mercy! The mercy of God for human beings and the mercy of human beings for each other. In particular, it can save the most precious and fragile thing in the world at this time, marriage and the family.” In the family, we have the unique and important opportunity to practice mercy every day. Forgiveness, patience, kindness, service, discipline, and affirmation are simple ways that we express Mercy to one another within the family. Each time we do this, we make God’s mercy visible in the world.

Congratulations

You’ve Been Flocked!

Don’t despair….

This is a fundraiser for BAEH GILL.

The Friends of St. Patrick are hosting this fundraiser to

support Baeh Gill and her family, parishioners of St.

Patrick Osage City. Baeh was in a serious accident on Easter

Sunday that has left her paralyzed from the chest down. This has

placed a huge financial burden on the family and we want to help.

Here’s how the fundraiser works. For a minimum donation of $25,

you can send the flock of birds to a friend’s yard. These flamingos

will roost on the lawn for 24 hours and will mysteriously migrate to the next lawn.

The flock can only migrate within a 5 mile radius but please contact Thelma or

Kathy to see if special arrangements can be made. Flocking Insurance is available

for $25 to protect your lawn! Insurance can be purchased from Thelma or Kathy or

can be purchased at the Church Office during office hours.

If you would like to participate, there is a Flocking a Friend order form on the back

side of this flyer.

This flocking is done in good fun and is not meant to be mean. Thank you for

your sense of humor and your support.
