Dear Parents / Carers,

As Christmas approaches, our children will be looking forward to a well-earned rest and lots of “down time”. This may include time with new games and toys, some of which may have access to the internet. Please be vigilant around our children’s online safety by ensuring that appropriate restrictions are in place and maybe spend some time familiaris-ing yourself with the game / app / device so that you are aware of its content. This could be a lovely time to engage with your child and their interests whilst ensuring that they remain safe online.

It is a good opportunity too, to revisit previous conversations you may have had with your child about why they need to take care online and to remind them to never share personal details and to always speak to a safe grown-up if they experience something that worries them.

Please be aware that a number of games that are popular with our children, such as Roblox, have the facility to send messages to others. This facility can be turned off through the settings.

Wishing you and your children a happy, peaceful and safe Christmas! Mrs Bradley

Road Safety

There have been a number of concerns raised by parents / carers regarding children’s safety as they travel to and from school. We share these concerns and ask that you please:

1) refrain from driving down the cul-de-sac if at all possible (there is parking available within easy walking distance)

2) Park considerately— a few parents have recently started to park on residents’ driveways. Please respect their private property.

3) Use the footpath all the way to the school entrance.

In January, there will be an additional member of staff on welcome duty each day who will be available to assist parents and children to stay safe near school. Many thanks for your co-operation.
