their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. - Mk 11:7-8

It is here ! The holiest week of the year begins this weekend as we step into the City of Jerusalem and pro-claim with the crowds “Hosanna to the King!” The next few days we celebrate and remember with devotion the Pas-sion, Death and Resurrection of the Lord and join with Christians throughout the world to prayerful join the Savior during the days that He set us free from sin and death. The schedule of services and Masses is published in this bulle-tin beginning with Holy Thursday and the Mass of the Lord’s Supper followed by the waiting with the Lord in the ”Garden of Gethsamane” from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On Good Friday, we pray the traditional Stations of the Cross at 3:00 PM and then hear of the Lord’s Passion and vener-ate His cross at a Communion Service at 7:00 PM. There are no morning Masses Thursday through Saturday due to the solemnity of the days. Please note that the Easter Vigil, the most solemn night of the Church year, where the light of Christ conquers the darkness of sin and death begins next Saturday, April 4th at 7:00 PM. There is NO 5:00 PM Vigil Mass next Saturday evening. The earliest vigil Mass can only be celebrated at sunset. The Mass schedule for Easter Sunday remains the same at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 12:00 Noon. Let us celebrate these days with devotion and faith so that if we die with the Lord we shall also be judged worthy to rise with Him! This past Friday evening we were transported back to the streets of ancient Jerusalem as our 8th Graders from our school performed the Living Stations of the Cross. What a beautiful rendition of the steps of Our Lord to Calvary as He walks to save us all. Many thanks to Mrs. Becky Manzo for her hard work in preparing the children for this night and to the parents who assisted. Our special thanks goes to these young people who gave of their time and talent to make this such a moving evening of prayer and reflection. Our gratitude as well to all the students who helped us cele-brate this Sunday with our Palm Sunday procession at the 10:00 AM Mass. As you heard at Mass so far we are now over $40,000.00 in our CATHOLIC CHARIOTY FUND DRIVE . If you have not had the opportunity to give yet the enve-lopes are still in the pews (and will be for a few more weeks) to enlist your support and generosity for this annual cause to help the poor and needy. The many agencies of the Diocese that bring help to those in need rely on us. Our pledge and/or gift is a statement of our faith and love for the Lord who told us that “whatever we do for the least of our brethren, we do for Him.” Please take home an envelope and prayerfully consider your gift this year. Many thanks for helping in this noble effort. Have a great and prayerful Holy Week and God Bless.
