Dear Dr. Sabin:
Yesterday I spoke to Dr. Granoff concerning the termination ofmy work here at st. Jude Hospital. I mentioned to him that youwould like someone for July 1, 1965 or August 1, 1965.
We evaluated the progress made to date with the frog virus, considered the work presently being conducted, and speculated as tothe fruits the future might bear on this project. It was Dr. Granoff'sopinion that I should not leave st. Jude until some very importantaspects of our work be brought to a satisfactory conclusion. Arealistic estimation of the time required to accomplish this would beapproximately a year.
If a position in your laboratory is still available at that timeI would still like to be considered for it.
Thank you for your kind consideration at this time.
