May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him. Rom. 15:13 When the Word of God became flesh, He entered into the gift of the human family. God the Son could have just appeared on the scene looking human as he had done with some of the Old Testament patriarchs, but He didn’t. It was our heavenly Father’s will that God the Son should assume our human nature in order to become one with the humanity He is saving. This miracle of the Incarnation happened through God’s cooperation with a humble human: Mary. God did not force Himself on her; He gave her a choice. Through the Archangel Gabriel, God the Father revealed His divine plan of salvation and asked the Virgin Mary to aid Him in this plan. Her sinless and Immaculate Heart was entirely focused on loving God and so she readily gave her “fiat,” her “yes” to Him. Mary, although only about 14 years or so old, had already filled her mind and heart with love of the Divine Word through deep prayer and pondering the Scriptures. She possessed a continuous intimacy with God. It was no surprise then, she would lovingly embrace the gentle overshadowing of the Holy Spirit, Who united the Second Person of the Holy Trinity to one her eggs. Hence, the humanity of Jesus was taken exclusively from and through Mary. As Eve was brought forth from Adam, so now the New Adam, Jesus Christ, is born from the New Eve, the Blessed Virgin Mary. It pleases the Father that the Savior of the world should come to us through the humble Virgin. It, also, pleases Him that we go to the Savior through her. The best way to do this is by praying the Rosary. Our Lady draws us to her prayerful heart, as a mother to her child, and places us firmly in the mysteries of salvation found in and through her Son. She is a good Momma, who loves us, and wants us to be saved. So, pray the Rosary and rejoice in the gift of our salvation. May God be praised and may you be blessed! Mission Statement To walk by Faith, to be known by Love and to be a Beacon of Light in our community. We are asking that you pray 3 Hail Marys after each Mass for people to come back to their Catholic Faith. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eucharist Schedule Saturday:5:00 pm - St. John’s, Grafton Sunday: 7:30 am - Sacred Heart, Oakwood 9:30 am - St. John’s, Grafton 11:30 am - Mass in Spanish, Grafton Reconciliation Saturday: 4:00 - 4:45 pm - St. John’s Sunday: 7:10 am - Sacred Heart, Oakwood 9:00 - 9:15 am - St. John’s ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Parish Office: 352-1648 Fr. When the Word of God became flesh, He entered into the gift of the human family.

Stewardship Moment - “Jesus said to him, ‘Go and do likewise.’” Luke 10:37 This was Jesus’ command at the end of the Good Samaritan story. Did you know that the Samaritans and Jews despised each other? The moral of the story is to love our neighbor. That means loving someone you may not know or someone that looks different than you or someone that you don’t like. All without expecting anything in return.

Weekly Prayer of the Faithful Petitions - That we may strive to be more like the Good Samaritan, helping those in need, without expecting anything in return.
