FEAST OF THE DIVINE MERCY | APRIL 8, 2018 at 1:30PM Special Divine Mercy Prayers and Exposition & Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament

This weekend we celebrate the Feast of the Divine Mercy. It is a day of extraordinary grace, a day of healings, reconciliation, forgiveness, freedom from addictions, and more. In a series of revelations to St. Maria Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s, our Lord called for a special feast day to be celebrated on the Sunday after Easter. Today, we know that feast as Divine Mercy Sunday, named by Pope St. John Paul II at the canonization of St. Faustina on April 30, 2000. The Lord told St. Faustina: “I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and a shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain

complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day are opened all the divine floodgates through which graces flow. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet.” Miracles of all kinds have been reported and continue to be in store for those that seek them. On this day, bring to our Lord every intention of your heart and every burden that you carry.

We are in search of a few volunteers, after the 9:00AM Morning Mass/Rosary, to help refill the Holy Water fonts. If you have an extra 20 minutes

and would like to help please call the rectory at 508-875-5959 or stop by after Mass. We will be glad to train you.

Sad News to Report

After serving the surrounding community for 61 years, Marian High School will close in June. It is always sad to lose the presence of this kind of Catholic High School. We will help in any way we can during their transition process. Keep the faculty and students in your prayers.

Lenten Labyrinth Walk Update

This meditative walk was fruitful for those able to partake on March 20. ‘Walkers’ left intentions at the ‘doorway’ of the labyrinth. Karen had printed out the names of those lost in the Columbine and most recent school shootings and placed them under the intentions container. ‘Walkers’ were also able to journal and share the experience at the conclusion. We were fortunate that this Lenten offering did not get cancelled from yet another snow event!
