NEWSLETTER NO 26 2016 25 AUGUST 2016 PRAYER FOR HAPPINESS Dear God, I pray for happiness today. I pray that it radiates out of me from the core of my being. I pray that I smile from within and that the inner feeling produces a true smile on my face, a twinkle in my eye and an expression that shows to all that I have found bliss. I pray that from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet, I am a manifestation of the human life living in happiness. I pray that everything that I do and say causes happiness in others. Amen Dear Parents 10 YEAR CHURCH BIRTHDAY MASS The Parish Liturgy Committee invites all students and families from St Andrew’s School to participate in the 10 Year Church Birthday Mass this Sunday, 28 August at 9.00am. CONGRATULATIONS MRS GREAVES It is both with pleasure and sadness that I inform the St Andrew’s School community that Mrs Emma Greaves, our Support and Reading Recovery Teacher, has accepted a position at St Marks School for 2017. Emma has worked at St Andrew’s for the past 10 years and has served with dedication and proficiency. She will be immensely missed but we all wish her well for her future career. Once again I wish her congratulations.

CONGRATULATIONS MR AND MRS ALLEN Congratulations are extended to our Year 1 Teacher Brooke (and husband Ciaran) on the birth of Gerard Michael Allen. We wish them all well! May God Bless You, Sam Fontaine Principal.

VISION STATEMENT St Andrew’s CPS offers an education that acknowledges, respects

and nurtures the uniqueness of each person. Within a framework of Catholic values and teamwork,

the students will be challenged and supported to recognise their gifts and develop their potential as they learn and contribute to their community.

The choir has been singing Aboriginal songs across the metro area and regionally across WA since 2006. Now, with increased focus on learning Aboriginal languages in schools, the Noongar Songs in Schools Project has been developed and we were treated to a performance to celebrate NAIDOC. Thank you to PALS (Department of Aboriginal Affairs) for funding this project.
