What defines an individual case?
• Age – young people below the age of 16
• Behaviour – disturbing, troubling or violent behaviour• Behaviour – disturbing, troubling or violent behaviour
• Special needs – a need for joint action with the involvement of several departments
• Type of crime – first offence, subsequent serious offences and dangerous offences against people
4 levels
Level 1: behaviour that is worrying. Examples: very young
boys and girls who hang out on streets at late hours or are often
absent from school.
Responsible: SSP local group
Action: contact to parents, letter of concern and/or visit from
crime prevention police officerscrime prevention police officers
Level 2: First offence. Examples: theft, vandalism and
possession of knife.
Responsible: SSP local group
Action: home visit conducted by crime prevention police
officers with a discussion of school, leisure etc.
4 levels
Level 3: Subsequent serious offences. Examples: burglary,
drug dealing ect.
Responsible: SSP co-ordinating committee
Action: Home visit conducted by social services. Temporary plan of
action with 7 days, final plan of action within 3 weeks.
Level 4: Dangerous offence against people. Examples: assault
and battery, robbery and use of a weapon
Responsible: SSP co-ordinating committee
Action: Immediate assessment of emergency action and placement.
Immediate home visit conducted by social services. Temporary plan of
action within 7 days, final plan of action within 3 weeks.
