imagine a beautiful summer’s day, fresh vibrant colours, a festival-like atmosphere and let your thoughts flow back to what it was like in the 1970s.

Some of the first things that may come to mind are ‘vintage’, sticking-to-your-roots and, more importantly, staying true to your cHaracter. that we tried to do when developing the hummel Fashion Footwear SS11 collection that highlights our brand history and authenticity.

prior to our designers drawing the first line on a piece of paper, we asked ourselves these questions:

- is there such a thing as creating a timeless retro trend? - is it possible to tell stories that never die?- can you really reinvent legends?

in many ways, the SS11 collection confirms those questions and the products pretty much speak for themselves. not saying that this collection is a revolution compared to earlier ones - we like to think of it as a further evolution to the great success hummel fashion footwear products have enjoyed in recent years.

and remember - you are never too old to be wearing sneakers. there’s always a new story to be told and true characters live forever to become legends.
