Human Resource Development Center Introduction Capacity building is integral to producing trained labour with skills that can help people, especially the poor, find decent living wages in the mar- ket. Rapid technological changes require individuals to learn and polish their skills according to local market demand. SRSP believes in harnessing people’s potential through rigorous social mobilization and capacity building initiatives. As a result of social mobi- lization more than 21,000 community organizations of rural women and men have been formed that represent about 500,000 households across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Men and women community members trained as social and technical activists are 112,000. The gender ratio stands 60:40% for men and women respectively. SRSP has well established and equipped Human Resource Development Centers in different districts of KP. The main center is located in Pesha- war, where training courses in managerial and market driven technical skills are delivered. Training workshops are also conducted for profes- sional staff. Special courses have been designed for promoting gender, social equity, social cohesion and integration of women, poor, disable, older citizens and youth in the mainstream development. Employable Skill Trainings

Human Resource Development Center of SRSP is designing and

conducting employable skill trainings at its premises and through

mobile training units at village level. These mobile training units

are mainly used in implementing women skill trainings at their

door step. The identification and need assessment is carried out in

a way, whereby community organizations (men & women) are

formed and individuals are selected through poverty score card

survey and their training need is identified keeping in view the lo-

cal market demand. The next step is of designing and implementa-

tion of training at the Technical & Vocational center and commu-

nity level i.e. mobile training units for women. Linkage develop-

ment & career support is provided to each trainee to establish his/

her own enterprise. Monitoring & evaluation is carried out at all

levels, where the training/skill utilization is monitored at the train-

ing center and village level. Follow up studies are carried to meas-

ure the impact of skill trainings. Following are the main courses
