Space, Light, Energy, Matter and Time: Truth and misconceptions

Abstract: Either there is no mystery or each and everything is a mystery!

Introduction : If science is knowing/unveiling nature, anything 'scientific' should be 'natural'.

Hence scientific truths can be grasped more clearly by aligning ourselves in harmony with

nature, not by disturbing it. I present the concepts of reality as revealed to me out of my

genuine inquiry, that which is quiet natural for any human being who gets fascinated by the

mystery of nature and life.

For mankind, Science had begun from time immemorial and progressed through observations,

experiments, analysis, arguments, theories and even conclusions. It is foolishness to conclude

and end. Hence Let me make a humble attempt to pause (!) it so that WE can continue it

afresh!

Lot of theories related to space, light, energy, matter and time have been emerged in the past

as a result of genuine inquisitiveness by sincere scientists. Most of the scientific laws and

theories discovered in the recent past were formulated, looking into the aspects of energy and

matter deeply and then there were further attempts to define space, light and time. It can give

only a limited understanding. It seems that there are lot of misconceptions, speculations and

confusion regarding space, light, energy, matter and time. Let us together give a try to look

them in a different perspective.

A note before you read on...

1. Space is infinite and unmoved. Space is the basis for both energy and matter. Space holds entire energy+ matter and allows them to expand or contract.

2. Space is dimension-less or we can say space has infinite dimensions. It is impossible to locate a point, line, area or volume in space. The 1D, 2D and three-dimensional

approach has come out of a very limited understanding of space in an attempt to

locate/define (a point on/in) a line, area or volume respectively. That very point, line,

area or volume keeps on moving along with the 'assumed' origin of three axes. but the

space remains unmoved. Even if we assume a point in space, that point is unmoved

forever and is the centre of the universe. As space is infinite, any point in space can be

considered as centre of the entire universe. but interestingly, space cannot be

fragmented into point, line, area or volume because space exists as a whole.

3. The time which is considered as fourth dimension does not even exist. Time is just a concept created by man in an attempt to define the movement of energy and matter

with respect to unmoving space.

4. Light is an inherent characteristic of space. Light is an attribute of immovable 'omnipresent' space. Light has no specific source. It is a misconception that light

travels. Light does not travel and hence cannot have velocity (Light cannot be

displaced, as it is omnipresent as a single entity). When we see in context of

energy+matter, it appears that light moves.

5. Light is already present everywhere 'always'. It is the matter which creates obstacles to its visibility to us. With the movement of energy+matter, it appears to us that light

travels. It is relative. Not convinced? Look into a glowing bulb or a lamp and move your

eyebrows gently, it will appear that light source being converted to light beams and

also in various directions depending on the movement of eye brows. It is just an

appearance. In reality light neither takes the form of beams nor travels. Eye brow

movement is movement of energy+matter and hence the above stated concept is

verified. At the same time, same light will appear to travel in different forms to different

people if their eye brow movements are not unique. Got it? Still not convinced? Just

because we are not able to perceive the light during night, can we say light does not

exist at night? If what we heard about night vision of owl is true, how owl sees at

night? Think...May be because owl is able to perceive light even at low level energy

field. If we enter a closed room, even though it appears to be dark, after sometime, we

will be able to see with little more clarity. That itself reveals the fact that our eyes are

relative (to the field we exposed in the past) and hence limited. All optical illusions are

because of this relativity of the physical eyes. After all, eyes are also nothing but enrgy

+ matter. It is difficult to perceive the light with our physical eyes without the support of

an 'appropriate (balanced, not too low not too high)' energy field. Still, if you can't get

what I am saying, it is just because you are so used to energy+matter and its ups and

downs, you are not able to go beyond it.

6. It might be rearrangement of energy and matter in different levels or concentration or proportions which creates a field around, thus allowing the light (which was already

present) to reveal its presence to human eyes.

7. Such a field is created when (?) two rocks are brought together with certain force (?) or when (?) clouds strike each other thus allowing the light of space to emerge, being

visible to us.

8. Light is pure and hence has no colour. The light we usually see is polluted with matter in different proportions. That is the reason light appears to be coloured. When light is

polluted by large proportion of matter, the visibility itself vanishes. Pure light cannot be

seen with physical eyes. We can see light only when it is mixed with energy+matter. It

is the pure light which makes objects visible to us.

9. What we perceive as sunlight cannot be an attribute of Sun. Energy and matter might be in a certain concentration in Sun which creates a large field around thus making the

already ever present light visible to us in a large volume around. Hence we attribute

the light to Sun and call it sunlight. Heat (a form of energy) may be an attribute of Sun

(Energy), but light cannot be attributed to Sun, light belongs to Space only. The

presence of Sun (Energy) just makes it possible for the light to be revealed.

10. See the bursting of crackers. You see light sparks moving in in all directions and slowly diminishing in space. What is happening actually? Energy+matter just going away from

the source, which itself was concentrated energy+matter. Once the energy is dissipated

from the energy+matter fragments, the field (required for light to appear) gets vanished

gradually and light is no more visible and the (dark) matter remains in space. Similar

analogy can be applied to define all matters (big and small) in the universe. Even

though all appears to be separate, in essence the whole energy+matter is continuous

(uninterrupted) and hence one and the same, but exist in fragmented forms in different

proportions, ever-moving, with or without the fields to create visibility of light or with

gradually vanishing (or increasing) field.

11. Because of certain arrangement of energy and matter, moon might not be disturbing the field created by Sun, hence it also appears to glow/shine. We call it wrongly as

reflection of sunlight. Same with mirror, water, polished floors, and other similar

surfaces.

12. Light cannot be bent. Light neither reflects not refracts. We perceive so just based on the rearrangement of energy and particles (matter) in different mediums (what we call

as medium itself is energy+matter except vacuum). We are not able to grasp the purity

of light in presence of energy/matter and hence we wrongly perceive light as distorted.

This untainted attribute and non-movement of light can be clearly perceived in vacuum

(in the absence of energy/matter).

13. From the movement of energy+matter, we try to separate out the displacement (in essence, displacement is not real, it is relative), and hence comes the concept of force.

14. Why time does not exist? How time is just a concept? Energy and mass co-exist. When mass moves (with the presence of energy), based on the displacement, a new

terminology 'Force' was introduced, which is in essence an aspect of energy itself.

Now, If we see Force and Mass, again a new term acceleration. Acceleration is defined

as the rate of change of velocity. Velocity is defined as rate of change of displacement.

What is it in reality? We try to define the movement (displacement) of mass (which

occurs due to force that which is an aspect of energy) wrt the unmoving space. Time is

just a notion we introduced to define the movement of mass wrt unmoving space. Time

does not exist. There is an infinite unmoving space and energy + matter which keeps

on moving. Time is only a concept which helps to quantify this movement. We quantify

rotation of earth wrt its axis (?) as a day. Complete rotation of earth around Sun as an

year. Time has no real existence. It is just that these movements keep on happening

and we try to quantify them. In a lighter note, even the movement of clock needle is

just a movement of needle (matter) from one place to another (a movement of matter

associated with electrical energy). but We make out a sense of time based on that!.

Stationary means that which does not move. At a given point of time, everything is

stationary. do u agree? Right now, there is no movement in the universe. take the next

moment, then also everything is stationary. To be noted that there is no gap, the

concept of moment itself is wrong. We need some fixed point to define movement of

energy + matter. So, the concept of moment was introduced. At any given point of

time, everything is stationary. Then, logically everything should be stationary at all

points of time. It leads to a conclusion that everything should be stationary always.

Then, when is the movement happening? Either only time is moving or energy+matter

is moving. We are very well aware that energy+matter is not stationary. Then, time

must be stationary. You can visualize things (energy+matter) moving. but how will you

visualize time? It is just like number. you cannot visualize a number without the support

of energy+matter. Same with time as well. You cannot visualize any movement in the

universe without a stationary platform (it can be relative). Time is just a concept

introduced to define the movement of energy+matter wrt non-moving space. When I

say 'hundred', what is that comes in your mind? You cannot visualize any number

without the support of energy or matter. Same with time. Time does not exist. When

we say yesterday, where is it? it is only in mind. Time is only a concept in mind.

Eventhough you know in reality, money is just a piece of paper, you dont throw it in

dustbin, just because of the conceptual value which we have given to it. Same with

time as well. Time does not exist. It has only a conceptual or psychological value,

neither any existential value nor any physical value.

15. Space and light cannot be curved. Space and light are independent of Energy and matter. It is the space which is the basis for both energy and matter. (The relative

movement of energy + matter with respect to unmoving space is perceived based on a

factor 'time'. In reality, time does not exist. Space and Light neither travels nor bends. It

is matter or/and energy which travels and bends.)

16. The travel of energy through matter causes movement and re-arrangement of particles in the matter (the matter which is whole that includes all states of matter) and this was

misinterpreted as travel of waves. It is just dissipation of energy (where to dissipate?,

hence more appropriate to say movement of energy which causes re-arrangement of

particles and sometimes energy as well).

17. Energy and matter are non-dual, interchangeable and holds each other. Energy and matter are one in essence, but they can co-exist and exist as separate as well.

Energy+Matter can exist in the form of solid, liquid, air or as a combination of any of

these (or all of these) in different proportions. It can exist as a single large entity or in

lumped discrete entities or in most minute form. However, the entire energy + matter in

the universe is continuous irrespective of their forms of existence and proper analysis

of a minute entity can reveal the properties of entire energy+matter system in the

universe. Matter may be thrown out with the flow of energy. but space holds them in

place. That is why all stars, planets, satellites and other energy+matter (s) in space

move (rotate?) in a harmonious way. Otherwise, everything would have been out of

order.

18. Waves/Vibrations are aspects of Energy/Matter. but light cannot be so. Wave is just movement (or dissipation) of energy through energy/particle medium causing their

rearrangement. (Radiation is also movement of energy). As energy and matter are non-

different, so is wave and vibration. We may define them in different terms based on

their respective concentration. Light is neither wave nor particle. Light is beyond energy

and matter. Light cannot be visible to physical eyes. It is light which makes

energy+matter visible.

PS: To be noted that 'light' in all above statements is the light of which Einstein identified

the velocity as constant (just because Einstein tried to study non-moving light from an

moving energy+matter platform), not the one which we usually perceive as radiation from

various energy sources.

Conclusions

In summary, There is only ONE entity as a whole, Space+Energy+Matter. We may separate

out energy+matter from space based on their movement, using the concept of time. but light

cannot be separated just because light does not move. In short, if space, light, energy, matter

and time are understood properly, everything can be understood and explained logically with

absolute clarity. No more mysteries in the Universe! Let us hope it does not happen! If

everything is known, what is the fun in science? what is the fun in life? So, Let us stay

ignorant so that we can keep on learning!

concepts, most of the existing scientific theories can be re(de)fined and the way we approach

engineering can be redirected accordingly. Hope people will approach these discoveries with

an open mind and analyze them with proper reason and logic without any bias or dogma.

Anyone is free to share these ideas, discuss with people, carry out further research and apply

them with right intentions. Hope integrity will be maintained.

Appendix

Background of the situations which led me to deep inquiry

* My observations and thought experiments were done in and with nature starting from

childhood. I was very good in physics, maths, language and extracurricular activities in school

days. In BTech, I did not learn anything because of various reasons and I was mostly involved

in farming, catering services, storytelling etc. during those days. Somehow I passed and during

M.Tech, I performed well in course work and did good mathematical formulations and coding

as a part of M.Tech thesis and published in various journals as well. In PhD at IISc, in addition

to academic activities, I was involved in various cultural and social activities as well. As a

result of my deep depression because of seeing the misery around and with an intense

willingness to eradicate them, I was trying to involve myself in lot of social activities but still

was unsatisfied and disturbed. Meantime, I happened to see a death accident which made me

fall unconscious in various later situations and my memory started becoming blank-like. These

made my inquiry so deep, sincere and focussed. The misery around, negligence of policy

makers towards the words of learned and selfless people, my concern for the future of

innocent children (with few of whom I often interact) etc., shook me from the bottom of my

heart and I started experimenting with my life.

I was deeply pained by recent Uttarakhand landslide which took away many human lives. We

called it Natural, but it was a man-made disaster. My PhD thesis work at IISc was an attempt

to estimate the seismic hazard of India (which involves lot of uncertainties). I was afraid to

include my own innovative ideas in that work as it was about the seismic hazard estimation

which is going to influence the safety of people (if given attention by the policy makers!).

Hence I just incorporated existing methodologies and techniques using latest and updated

earthquake data and other details. Eventhough it was a good work that was the need of the

hour and resulted as one of the best works in terms of estimation of seismic hazard of India

(with good publications), still it was just an analysis problem and hence I felt a dissatisfaction

and wrote to Dean, Indian Institute of Science requesting not to grant me a PhD degree with

two additional requests 1. For involvement of scientific community in support of Prof. G D

Aggarwal (Former Head, Dept of Civil Engg IIT Kanpur) who had dedicated his life to Save

river Ganga. 2. To give proper care to address the issues faced by research students of IISc (I

served as Chairman of Students' Council at IISc and the problems of fellow researchers was a

deep concern for me). Still earthquakes, waves, site amplification, response of structures etc.

and so many questions with respect to universe, nature, society, life etc. remained as a

mystery with lot of doubts, confusion and chaos.

I continued to learn from everyone and everything loving all unconditionally, trying to serve

people around, planting some saplings, interacting with children, spending time with nature,

having some fun with friends etc. and I could experience an absolute peacefulness even in the

midst of several personal problems, criticisms, negligence and my financial & societal

insecurity. It used to question whenever I see something wrong, but now I started even

physical fighting with wicked people especially in railway counters, bus stands and other public

places who disturb old and harass women. An absolute fearlessness came and I was even

willing to die for the welfare of the world, if needed.

In short, I had to reduce myself to zero to know the infinite. I started feeling great joy as and

when new concepts were revealed to me and could successfully verify them with observation

of nature and analytical thought experiments. Everything was natural and spontaneous. My

ideas appeared to me crystal clear in last few days where I happened to travel a lot across

India where my observations and thought experiments kept on bringing igniting thoughts. Just

by observing some natural processes, some questions and doubts were arisen in mind. Soon

got answers to them from within (with no thinking effort, but as an intuition). Sooner I have

been getting opportunity to observe Sun, glowing of bulb, welding of steel bar, Movement of

various things, reflection of light on floor surface, water, moon, chulha, etc with no efforts from

my side so that I could verify with logic the concept that was revealed to me. Had discussion

with many bright people seeking critical and counter arguments.

I know I am challenging most of the existing scientific theories. I might be right or wrong. but

my inquiries, observations and thought experiments were very deep, sincere and the concepts

revealed makes sense to satisfy my logic and reason. I request the wise and learned people to

ponder over these concepts, question them critically and give directions to my humble

attempts. Let it be not my attempts, but be our attempts. Let science grow without barriers

making truth to be grasped with more clarity.
