One of the greatest things about nature is that it knows no borders. It simply does not recognize our authority. At all. Instead, it sweeps in and out of our lives as it pleases. Without care for origin or gender, countries or nationalities. In its world, were all visitors. And as boundless explorers of nature we can travel anywhere, experience anything, become anyone.

In return, nature only asks for one thing: not to be taken for granted.

Now that it's time for a new season of global adventure, we are proud to have a lineup of clothing and equipment that is just as functional as it is conscious. Spring/Summer 2017 is about travelling to the outdoors, but also about the journey of making nature the next big priority when choosing gear. This is why we are also expanding Fjllrven Classic to new locations in both Hong Kong and North America - so we can inspire

even more people to actively make nature a bigger part of their lives.

g-1000 is very resistant to wear, and this in combination with its low weight makes it an excellent choice for both travelling and outdoor life.

G-1000 fabric can be adapted with Greenland Wax to suit different weather conditions and activities. Adding more wax increases the fabrics water and wind resistance as well as the durability and lifetime of the garment. In warmer conditions, the wax can be easily washed out for cooler, more breathable clothing.

Take the block of Greenland Wax and rub it with long strokes against the fabric, leaving behind a thin, even layer. Make sure you cover all of the

fabric well.

Melt the wax into the fabric with an iron on low/moderate heat with no steam (remember to wipe off the iron before you use it on other garments).

You can also use a hairdryer. The wax melts at approximately 55-60C (131-140F).

Hold the garment 10 to 15 cm above a steady flame from your outdoor stove. Start further

away and slowly move it closer until you see the wax starting to melt. Be careful not to burn the

fabric and avoid having your arm or other part of your body inside the garment.

By applying more Greenland Wax you can easily adapt your g-1000 garment to suit different weather condi-tions and activity levels. The wax will also increase the lifetime of your clothing by making it even more durable.

Greenland Wax makes g-1000 garments very resistant to rain and moisture. This means that you can wear them during brief rain showers. If the fabric gets wet, it will dry fast.

The dense weave makes g-1000 almost totally windproof. Once impregnated with Greenland Wax it offers complete protection against biting winds.

One of g-1000s most impressive qualities is its excellent ventilation it efficiently releases moisture from the body which is particularly practical when partaking in strenuous activities.

The tight weave keeps mosquitoes and other flying insects away from your skin practical both in the mountains and the forest, or when travelling in hot climates. (Note that G-1000 Lite and G-1000 Air are not mosquito safe.)

The fabric provides almost 100% protection against the suns ultraviolet rays (uva and uvb) helping to greatly reduce the risk of sunburn.
