It’s Showtime!

2014 Methacton Post PromSPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

WHAT AND WHY IS POST PROM?This is the high school’s 15th Post Prom and this year’s theme is“Lights, Camera, Action... it’s Showtime!”

Methacton’s Post Prom is one of the largest, most successful postproms in the area, attracting approximately 900 students!Hundreds of volunteers from the parent-body and the widerMethacton community come together every year to pull off thisincredible event. It is the premier post prom celebration inMontgomery County! Every year some of the 300+ visitors thattour the Community Walk-Thru include representatives from thesurrounding school districts who come to see and learn about thisamazing event.

The two highest risk nights for teens are after prom and gradua-tion. Post Prom offers students a safe, drug, alcohol and tobaccofree option. This is not just another social event! Immediately following the prom, students spend the entire night at the school in a secure environment. The building is transformed with decora-tions, and activities are planned throughout the night including, inflatable games, sporting events, casino tables, Wii games, a cof-fee house with student entertainers, and roving performers includ-ing fortune tellers, massage therapists, and balloon artists. Foodis available throughout the event. The highlight takes place in themorning when Methacton Juniors and Seniors are eligible forsome amazing prizes including laptop computers, flat screen TVs,iPods, iPads, DVD players, digital cameras, and video game sys-tems just to name a few! The event is free to all Methacton juniorsand seniors and their dates. All monies raised and supplies usedcome from donations made by parents, community members andbusinesses. The cost to pull off this event is approximately $40,000!

Support for events such as Post Prom benefit everyone – the students who are kept away from risky activities, the parents whogain peace of mind, and the greater community in which the students reside. Please help keep our kids safe!
