2013/2014 Program

Frankenstein

The monster is Victor Frankensteins creation,

assembled from old body parts and strange

chemicals, animated by a mysterious spark. He

enters life as a grotesque character but with the

mind of a newborn. Abandoned by his creator and

confused, he tries to integrate himself into society,

only to be shunned universally.

Ballet Victoria brings this gothic tale to life with a

touching twist and imaginative choreography:

mixing classical and contemporary movements and

music.

A wonderful new Christmas story to

the beloved music of The Nutcracker!.

A bri lliant work fil led with humour and

fun characters, The Gift is the perfect

holiday present for the whole family!

A program of incredible dance of

classical and contemporary works, with

a premiere by Bruce Monk. Destrooper

brings new choreography with a West

Coast flavour to Stravinskys infamous

Rite of Spring.

Carl Orffs epic score, live music and the

emotionally charged voices of the choir

drive one of Destroopers masterpieces.
