Thank you to master of ceremony,

With all due respect to the honourable judges, teachers and my fellow friends,

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahiwabarakatuh and very good morning.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Muhd Syahmie Bin Sunin from year 5 Inovative of SK

Taun Gusi, Kota Belud.

In this glorious morning, I am standing here would like to share my speech entitled “

Punctuality”.

Honourable judges and my dear friends,

All the activities we do every day must have timeframe or deadline. These activities either

pre-planned or unplanned in manner. The activities that managed to be completed on time

will give us as students a feeling of satisfaction. Before I proceed, I would like to define the

term ‘ punctuality ’. Oxford Dictionary define punctuality as happening or doing something at

the agreed or proper time. Here, I can say that, punctuality is how we as students able to do

or complete assigned task on the agreed time.

Honourable judges and my dear friends,

I would like to ask a few question to you. Do you usually study at home? What time do you

usually go to bed? When are you get up from your bed? When are you doing your

homework?

As students, the matter of punctuality is a main business if we really wish to excel in

academic. Being punctual at school, arrive at school before the bell rings. We will be

comfortable to start our first lesson of the day and able to do revision before the lesson

begins.

When we were given homework to be completed at home and needed to be

submitted on agreed date, we must try to heed the deal. As a result, both parties, teacher

and we as students will be enjoying the learning processes. Because there will be no

punishment that would halt someone spirit in pursuit of learning success.

Honourable judges and my dear friends,

Punctuality is the main trait that should be possessed by students who wish to excel in

academic, in life too. There are examples of successful personalities like former Prime

Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad, national shuttler Datuk Lee Chong Wei and

businessman Robert Kouk. These personalities shared common life philosophy, in order to

succeed one should be punctual.

A generation that lack or did not practice punctuality in daily life can consider as loser. In

other words, it is impossible for this generation to do well in any aspect of life.

So, it is the right time for us to rekindle the spirit of learning. Time to prepare for the

future of our own education and prove to our country that we also have contribution to be

made. Do practice punctuality in daily life, as students.

Honourable judges and my dear friends,

That’s all my speech, I hope the message that I share with you today would be beneficial

and become part of our life philosophy. Thank you for lending me your ears and the finally

Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahiwabarakatuh.
