Standard conveyor chain:Precision conveyor chains are manufactured locally and consist of a series of
bearing pin and bush on which the chain roller revolves. Within the range are
numerous pitch alternatives with breaking loads ranging from 13 to 900 kN
as standard. Various attachment styles can be supplied with the chains to
suit any application.
Maximum chain strength and resistance to wear are achieved by strict control of the material specifi cation and by using state of
the art heat treatment processes. The consistent overall tolerances of Renold chain make it ideal for conveying systems
requiring precise alignment on multistrand chain layouts. Breaking loads exceed the minimum international standards.
Standard and special attachments are parts fi tted to a base chain to adapt it for a particular purpose as a conveying
medium. Attachments may form an integral part of the link plate or may be built into the chain as a replacement of the
normal link. Other attachments (according to type) are fi xed to the chain plates by projection or fi llet welding, to either
one or both sides of the chain.

Sprags:A Sprag Clutch is a freewheel device having an inner race, and an outer race
either of which can be the input or output member. In general, Sprag Clutches
are able to transmit greater torques, within the given overall dimensions, than
other types of free-wheel device.
Renold has over 100 years experience with development of Sprag clutches, backstops and air
brakes used for many applications.
Trapped Roller Clutches:Trapped roller freewheels consist of a cylindrical outer race, an inner race with
ramps, and individually sprung rollers. The springs ensure that the rollers are held
in contact with the outer race and inner race ramp, making torque transmission
instantaneous. The trapped roller freewheel can be used in 3 applications:
• Overrunning.
• Backstopping.
• Indexing.

Helical Worm Gear Series:Helical Worm units combine the advantages of worm gear units with those of spur
gear units. The efficiency is significantly better than that of pure worm geared
motors due to the implementation as helical-worm geared motors.
• Available in three different variations with unit sizes from 0.55kW to 45kW capacity.
• Can be fitted with a wide range of accessories.
• Helical worm geared motors are the favourably-priced solution for drives with
angular geared motors.
