Introduction
KIDS WeSail (Wakefield Early Support, Advice, Information & Liaison) offer a
number of free information and training opportunities for parent / carers of children
and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities).
We work in partnership with professionals from Health, Education and Social Care
services, who provide their specialist knowledge and expertise at a number of
information sessions and workshops.
When planning the sessions that will be available from September 2017 – March
2018, we have taken into account the feedback / requests from parent / carers and
the attendance numbers at previous sessions. If you would like sessions on
something that is not detailed in this booklet, please contact KIDS WeSail on 01924
379015 – we’re always happy to hear ideas and suggestions for future sessions!
The following information provides an overview of what the sessions, workshop or
programmes cover, along with the dates, times and venues that it will be available
at. If you are unsure if a session is relevant or would like more information, please
