Special Collections and Archives: Bullough Collection 1 This collection comprises around 550 nineteenth-century novels, and was assembled specifically for the purpose of studying dialogue. It was donated to the National Centre for English Cultural Tradition at the University of Sheffield in July 1981 by Professor Geoffrey Bullough, Professor of English Literature at the University of Sheffield from 1933 to 1946, and transferred to the University Library’s Special Collections department in 2007.
